                                                                                 VITAMIN A

*Vitamin A - 750ug (The Skin Vitamin): As an anti - Oxidant it shortens the duration of Disease / Colds and Bursitis / Inflammation between Bones and Muscles and treats Acne and other Skin eruptions, Improves Eyesight and prevents Night Blindness, and is essential to the Body to develop healthy Eyes, Gums, Hair, Skin and Teeth as well as various Glands, and as it maintains the Mucous Membranes it is vital to all Cells.

       Vitamin A fights against Allergies, Infection and Pollutants and as an anti - Oxidant may also protect against Cancer. It has a direct role in removing dead Skin Cells. Vitamin A and its precursor, Beta - Carotene, increase Immunity and antibody levels of Cellular Immunity and a diet high in Beta - Carotene is now recommended for Cancer prevention.

       Insufficient or mal - absorption of Vitamin A when the Digestive System is not properly processing Fats, (as Vitamin A is a Fat Soluble Vitamin) can lead to Dry, Scaly Skin.  Vitamin A can assist with Pimply Blemishes due to its ability to fight Infection.

        Those deficient in the Vitamin A from Animal sources or Beta - Carotene from Plant sources, heal much less efficiently and are more susceptible to Infection.

        Diabetics especially cannot convert Beta - Carotene to Vitamin A and are likely to be deficient in Vitamin A. Signs of Deficiency: Colds, Dry Scalp, Granules on the Eyelid, Lung Infection, Night Blindness, Dry, Blemished, Roughened, Scaly - Skin, Sinusitis and Sore Throat.

Food Sources: Apricots, Butter, Broccoli, Cream, Cod Liver Oil, Egg Yolk, Fish Liver Oils, Fruits, Kidneys, Liver, some Margarines and whole Milk, Turnips, Leafy green and yellow Vegetables.

N.B: They should be consumed in a balanced form not as individual Vitamins as this can create a deficiency of all the other members in this group and are Water Soluble and the Body eliminates what is not required. They are not stored in the Body and must be consumed daily with some synthesized in the Intestines by the Bacteria normally situated there.

N.B: The B Group are destroyed by Alcohol, Antacids, Baking Soda, (Sugar), Tobacco, the Pill and too much exposure to the Sun.

      Anti - Biotics and anti - Infective substances taken over a long period will also kill off the normal Lactobacillus Acidophilus as well as harmful Bacteria and a Vitamin B deficiency may develop.

Signs of Deficiency: Anorexia, Lack of Energy, Cardiovascular Disorders, Mental confusion, Peripheral Paralysis, Grooves in the Tongue, Depression, Low Blood Pressure and Poor Memory.

       Food Sources: Bran, Brewer's Yeast, Molasses, Peanuts and Soybeans.

    *VITAMIN B (RIBOFLAVIN) 1.7mg: Aids in Growth and Reproduction, assists to eliminate Sore and Cracked Mouth, Lips and Tongue, Needed for healthy Skin, Nails and Hair, promotes the Body's use of Oxygen, assists to alleviate Eye fatigue.

      Signs of Deficiency: Lesions on the Lips, Mouth, Skin, Cataracts, Eyes sensitive to Light, Burning Eyes, Scaling around the Nose.
