O Haraghy or O Harahoe. See - Harrihy.

O Harahan - Irish / Ui hArraghain. An Irian Laeghis Ui Laoighis Sept / Family branch of the O More / O Moore / Ui Mordha,  who had their territory in Co. Laois in the mid - north - west of Southern Leinster. Especially see - O Harrigan.

O Haran or O Harhan. See - Haren.

Harbart -

Harbin. Gaelicized as Hoirbin. Used as a synonym for Herbert, which see, in Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province.

Harbinson. English origins -

Harden. English origins. Used to anglicize their name by the Mac Dockerys, which see - Irish / Mheic Giolla Deacair. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn 3 Colla kingdom of Orghialla / Oriel in Southern Ulster. See also Hardy.

Hardiman. English origins / bold man. Used in Ireland for which see, Hargadan, Harman, Hardman and Hardy.

Harding. They were in Ireland in the 15th Century AD before the Oliver Cromwell Invasion and some also came later into Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province in the 17th Century AD.

Hardman / hard man. English origins. Not connected to Hardiman and often confused with Harman.

Hardman / herdsman. English origins. They were in Herdemanstown in Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster in 1356 AD. Confused with Harman, but not connected to Hardiman.

Hardy. Used in the Connacht Province by a Sept / Family branch of the Mac Dockerys, which see, who were originally the Irish / Mheic Dhail Re Dochair Sept, which was later corrupted to Mac Giolla Deacair - deacair / hard. An earlier form still was Mheic Gilledogher, which is now obsolete.

Hardy. Some of the Hardimans, which see, in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht are now also known as Hardy.

Hardy. English origins -

O Haran or O Horan. Origins as yet unknown - Irish / Ua hArain. An Erenagh Sept / Family branch, who had their territory at Ballymactaggart in Co. Fermanagh in the south - west of the Ulster Province. Also sometimes used for Harrahan, which was a form of, which see, Hanrahan.

O Hare or O Hair or O Haire - Irish / Ua hEoir, A Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Colla da Crioch Airthir Ui Niallain Clann Cernaich Sept / Family branch, who had their territory at Oneilland East and West in Co. Armagh in the south - east of the Ulster Province. Kinsmen to the O Hanlons / Ui hAnluain, Mac Alindon / Mheic Gilla Fhiondain, O Carney / O Carny / Ua Cearnaigh, Mac Conkeel / Mac Enhill / Woods / Mheic Concaille. O Hare. Some O Hehirs, which see, used it as a variant. See also Mac Garry.

Hare. English origins. Henry Hare became Lord Coltraine who was a maternal nephew of Gabriel Hanger, which see, who had no issue whose father was the original Lord Coltraine. In 1817 AD George Hanger, Gabriel's brother died, and Henry still only a child, claimed the title becoming Lord Coltraine. In 1824 AD on March 31st at 73 years of age he died and also left no issue. The title was revived 100 years later by Bonar Law.

O Haren or O Horan - Irish / Ua hEaghrain. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Clare in the north - west of Thomond /  Tuaiscert Mhumhain / Northern Munster and adjacent territory in the Connacht Province while some of their kinsmen used the variants O Haran and O Harhan in Co. Mayo in the mid - west of Connacht.

Harford. Norse origins. They were in Howth in Co. Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster before the Anglo - Norman Invasion.

Harford / de Hereford. Norse or English origins. They have been in Ireland since 1250 AD in Co. Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster and Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster. Hafford used as a synonym in Co. Westmeath in the south - west of Northern Leinster.
