Originally the Cenel Fergusa had their territory at Coleraine in Co. Derry in the north - east of Ulster, but by the 11th Century AD they had their fort at Tullyhogue, which remained their main seat well after the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain main Sept was also to transfer to Dungannon in Co. Tyrone in the 13th Century AD.
