Greenaway. English locative origins (Dweller by the green.) Descended from Henry Greenaway who was an Oliver Cromwell Commissioner, who had settled in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht. They were in Ireland in the Mid - 17th Century AD, and are now in the Ulster Province were Greenhay is used as a variant.

Mac Greer. Scottish origins. Used as a variant for Mac Gregor. Gaelic / Mag Grioghar. They have been in the north of the Ulster Province since the Confiscation of the 3,500,000 acres of the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill territories and the non - Catholic Plantations there.

Gregory. English origins. They were in Co. Kerry in the south - west of the Munster Province in the 17th Century AD, and were later at Coole in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht.

O Grehan or O Greaghan - Irish / Ua Greachain. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in the Connacht Province, and nearby in Co. Westmeath in the south - west of Northern Leinster.
