                                                                            Farrington - O Feehan

Farrington. English toponymic origins. They were initially in Ireland in the 14th Century AD while others came more recently.

Farris - Irish / Ua Fearaigh. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Donegal in the north - west of the Ulster Province.

Farris. Used as a synonym for Fergus, which see, in the Connacht Province and surrounding regions and especially in Co. Cavan in Southern Ulster and nearby in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht. Also see Ferris, Fairy and Paris.

O Farrissy - Irish / Ua Fearghusa - fear / man / gus - action. An important Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Mayo and Co. Leitrim in the Connacht Province. Also used in the Munster Province as a variant for Fergus. Ferris also used.

O Farry - Irish / Ua Farraigh. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in the north of the Connacht Province. Also used as a synonym for Fairy, which see.

Farshin - fairsing / generous. A variant used by some of the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil *Mac Carthys, which see, in Co. Cork in Desmond / Des Mhumhain /  Southern Munster.

Farty. Used as an abbreviation for Faherty, which see.

Mac Fatridge. See - Mac Fettridge.

O Faughnan - Irish / Ua Fachtnain. A Sept - Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht and nearby in Co. Longford in the north - west of Northern Leinster.

O Faughney - Irish / Ua Fachtna. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht. May be the same as the previous entry. Now known as Faulkney and Faulkner.

Fawcett or Fossitt. English toponymic origins. They were in Ireland in the late 16th Century AD.

Fawl or Faul. Used to abbreviate Mulfaul and Mac Faul, which see, in Co. Clare in the north - west of Thomond / Northern Munster.

Fay or Faye / de Fae. Anglo Norman origins. They were in Co. Westmeath in the south - west of Northern Leinster near the end of the 12th Century AD and were also nearby in in Co. Cavan and Co. Monaghan in Southern Ulster. Used also as a synonym for Fahy and Fee, which see.

Fealty. Unknown origins as yet. They were in Co. Donegal in the north - west of the Ulster Province.

Tipperary in Ormond / Aur Mhumhain / North Eastern Munster and nearby in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster. May be the same as O Feehin? Confused also with O Fegan - Irish / Ua Faodhagain in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster, which see.
