Fanagan. Used as a variant for Finegan, which see.

Fane / well disposed. English origins. They were the English Viscounts Fane and the English Barons of Loughuire. They were in Co. Limerick in the mid - north - west of Thomond / Northern Munster. Also used as a synonym for Feehin, which see.

Fanning or Fannin or Fainin. Norman origins. They were in Ballingarry in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of Ormond / North Eastern Munster in the 15th Century AD and then in Fanningstown / Ballyfanning in Co. Limerick in the mid - north - west of Munster. See also Finan.

Fannon - Irish / Ua Fionnain. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Galway and nearby in Co. Roscommon in Southern Connacht. See also Finan. Used also as a variant for Fanning, which see.

Fant / Le Enfaunt / de la Faunte?  One of the "14 Foreign Tribes of Galway" in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht.
