Davidson. Scottish origins. They were in the north - east of the Ulster Province. Davison and Davie are also two of their branches.

Mac Davie or Mac Davy. Used by a branch of the Burkes, which see, in the Connacht Province. In the 16th Century AD in the Barony of Ballymoe in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht there was "Mac Davie’s Country."

O Davin - Irish / Ua Daimhin - damh / ox or stag. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of Ormond / Aur Mhumhain / North Eastern Munster. Often confused with Devine.

Davis. Welsh origins. Thomas Davis was a founder of the Young Irelander movement, who also coined the phrase "You must educate to be Free" spent much of his childhood in Templederry / Mallow. He was related on his mothers side to Donnell "Cam" O Sullivan of Beare in Co. Cork in Southern Munster who is also well known for standing up to the English persecution in his region.

Davis. May also be a synonym of Mac David or Mac Davymore, which see, a Sept / Family branch, of the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Mac Murroughs, which see, in Co. Wexford in the south - east of Southern Leinster.

Mac Davitt. Michael was born at Strade near Castlebar in Co. Mayo in the mid - west of the Connacht Province, and founded the Irish Land League that brought some hope for the return of Irish land to the Irish tenants. Used also as a variant for Mac Devitt, which see.

Donegal in the north - west of the Ulster Province who were kinsmen to the O Dohertys / Ui Dochartaigh. Ancestors - 91.Lugdach, 90.Setnai, 89.Fergus, 88.Conall "Gulban" the 1st King of Tir Connail / Tyrconnell (Cenel Conaill), 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland (Ui Niaill).

O Davoren - Irish / Ua Dubhdabhoireann - black / two / Burren. A Heberian Dal gCais Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in the north of Co. Clare in the north - west of Thomond / Tuaiscert Mhumhain / Northern Munster in the Barony of Corcomroe and at Ballynalaken near Lisdoonvarna. They were the Chiefs of the Muintir Lidheagha and as such where a Sept of the O Liddy Tuath / Family region, directly descended from *92.Lewy / Lughaidh one of the 12 sons of *91.Cas the King of Thomond who is the direct ancestor of all of the Dal gCais / Dalcassians (People of 91.Cas.) Caher Mac Naghten, which was a ring fort, was a Brehon Law School conducted by the O Davorens in the north - west of Co. Clare as Brehon lawyers and the keepers of the Brehon Law for over 700 years. Mac Davymore - Irish / Mheic. A Sept / Family branch, of the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire U Lughaidh Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Mac Murroughs whose name was anglicized to Redmond in the early 17th Century AD who had their territory in the north of Co.
