Mac Corcoran - Irish - Mheic Corcrain - corcair - purple. A Heberian Cianachta Sept - Family branch - who had their territory in Co. Offaly in the north - west of Southern Leinster. They were also Chiefs nearby in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province of the Clann Ruainni in "Ely - O Carroll Country." Cochrane also used as a variant. Ancestor *84.Teague mac Cian, *85.Cian & *37.Heber "Fionn."

Mac Cord - May be a variant of Mac Court, which see, in the Ulster Province.
