O Clahane or O Clehane - Irish / Ua Cathalain. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in the west of Co. Limerick in the north - west of Thomond / Tuaiscert Mhumhain / Northern Munster. O Cahalane is also used as a variant.

O Claisin. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Cork in Desmond / Des Mhumhain / Southern Munster.

Mac Clancy - Irish / Mheic Fhlannchaidh - flann chadh / red warrior. They were a Heberian Dal gCais Ui Caisin Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Clare in the north - west of Thomond / Tuaiscert Mhumhain / Northern Munster in the Barony of Tulla, who were a Sept of the *Mac Namaras. They are directly descended from *Clancy / Flannchadh Mheic Con na Mara and they acted as Dalcassian Brehon Lawyers to the O Brians / Ui mBriain Sept. Similar to the other Gaelic Families they survived until the 17th Century AD under the constant English ethnic and religious oppression. Mac Clancy. Brehon Lawyers in Co. Kerry in south - west of Desmond / Des Mhumhan / Southern Munster Province, and were also Chiefs there in Co. Cork in Southern Munster.

Mac Clancy - Irish / Mheic Fhannchaidh. A Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht at Rosclogher near Loch Melvin where they were the Chiefs and Kings of Dartry.
