Mac Carrig or Mac Carrigy - Irish / Mheic Concharraigh - con / hound - carraig / rock. Known as Mac Carrig in Co. Clare and Co. Limerick in the north - west of Thomond / Tuaiscert Mhumhain / Northern Munster.

Mac Carrig or Mac Carrick / de Carraig (from the Rock) -

Mac Carrick. Anglo Norman origins. From Carrick in Ayshire in Scotland they were in the Ulster Province, and Co. Roscommon in the east of the Connacht Province.

O Carrigan. A Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn Colla da Crioch Airthir Ui Breasail Macha Sept / Family branch, who had their territory in the north of Co. Armagh in the south - east of the Ulster Province. Especially see - O Kerrigan.

O Carrigan or O Carrogan. Especially see - O Corrigan.

Mac Carrison. Used as a variant for Carson, which see.

O Carroll or O Carrol - Irish / Ua Cearbhaill / fierce in battle. Originally there where 6 Septs with only 2 main ones left. They were also Princes in Co. Laois and Co. Louth in the Leinster Province, and Chiefs in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht.

O Carroll - Irish / Ua Cearbhaill / fierce in battle. A Heberian Cianachta Eile / Ely Sept / Family branch. They were the Chiefs of Ely / Eile O Carroll whose territory was in Co. Offaly in the mid - west of Southern Leinster. Directly descended from *Carroll / Cerball the King of Ely who was one of the leaders against the Viking Invasion at Clontarf in 1014 AD under 105.Brian "Boru" the Heberian Dal Cais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough 170th High King of Ireland. They had a Castle at Leap in Co.
