Seanchus of Celtic Ireland - 8 2349 BC - 2133 BC 2150 BC The Bell - Beaker Culture, known as such because their utensils that were made as bell - shaped vessels, began to show up in Ireland at this time as their particular society was also technologically advanced making full use of metals and finely polished stone tools. The Hamitic Fomoiri descended from 11.Ham who where Sea Pirates or Sea Rovers had originated from Africa and as such were never to settle into Ireland themselves, as they were in no way to be in any great numbers or permanently situated in any one place within the close proximity of Ireland, except for Tory Island. They were tall in stature and very destructive in their nature and during the Millennia ahead were to still continue to hang around the perimeter of Ireland and cause continual conflict to all of the Scythian Celtic inhabitants who were to continue to arrive into Ireland. 2133 BC Meanwhile the growing population of Scythian Nemedians, who had arrived and survived after their previous kinsmen the Scythian Partholonians, had by now multiplied to over 16,000 and they were to refuse the demands of the Fomorians who were at this time now under the leadership of Conan / Conaing, that they hand over 2/3rds of all their children born this year and every year from now on, on the day of the Celtic Season of Samhain. The Nemedians now decided that the only way to end the ongoing demands of the Fomoiri was to take them head on and attack their main fortress set up on Tory Island, off the coast of Co. Donegal in the north - west of the Ulster Province. They set out in their ships and landed on Tory Island and immediately laid siege to the Tower there and were able to capture it from Conan / Conaing, the son of Febar, who was also slain during the terrible battle that ensued. Just as it all seemed to come under their control, Morc the other Fomorian Chief arrived from Africa with more Hamitic Fomoiri reinforcements and the battle then continued on, and the Fomorians were then able to drive the Nemedians back down to the strand where many of them were also drowned. Only 30 Nemedians were to survive this intense battle, which had become in reality a final last stand for them, and on returning to the mainland all of the survivors then became worried if any of them would be ever be left alive at all in Ireland now. Later on they decided it was in their best interests to abandon Ireland altogether and they were to split into 3 three independent Nemedian groups who were to then also choose to go their own separate ways. The descendants of two of these independent Scythian Nemedian groups would return to Ireland 2 Centuries later on as two new individual Septs / Family branches, and one of these was to become known collectively as the Fir Bolg / Belgae and the other, the astonishing Tuatha De Danann, and at that later time they were both still to continue to claim direct descent from Nemedh also through two of his sons, Beothach and his son, Iobath, and Starn and his son, Simeon "Breac." The followers of one of these grandsons, Simon "Breac" were to go back to Thrace where they were to become enslaved, and therefore were not capable of widening their horizons, while carrying seaweed fertiliser in leather bags for the Greeks. They would, later become the Nemedian ancestors of a hybrid Celtic - Teutonic people to be known generically in Latin as the Belgae and in Irish History as the Fir Bolg / Men of the Bag. It would be over two Centuries later on when these particular Fir Bolg were to return to Ireland and at that time they would come to have great respect for the abilities of the Hamitic Fomorians, who had remained free to choose their own destinies and rove the seas, believing that they too had unusual powers, but despite this they were to be always able to continually ward off their ferocious attacks. The followers of the other grandson, Iobath, was to choose a different path, for they were to go to Europe where they were to learn new ideas, and as fate would have it, return to Ireland exactly 37 years after their Fir Bolg kinsmen and also gain sovereignty over them and this particular Scythian Nemedian Tuath or Clann were to be known then as the Tuatha De Danann (The People of Danu or Sword People) who with their increased knowledge and weapons, gained in Europe, were to seem to the Fir Bolg to also have great magical powers. This persona was to be encouraged somewhat by the imagination of the Tuatha De Danann themselves. The followers of the other grandson, Briotan "Maol," was to take his group and go to the northern part of Albion / Briton and his descendants were to remain their until the coming of the Scythian Picts, and it was from him that the Britons / Brythons there received their name. Although these 3 individual Nemedian groups were to leave Ireland altogether, there were still a number of them who were to remain in Ireland as a conquered people who went further inland to get away from the fury and imperialistic demands of the Hamitic Fomoiri. +On to Seanchus of Celtic Ireland - 9
