FEVERFEW / Featherfew / Pyrethrum / Chrysanthemum parthenium - Tanacetum p. / Matricaria p. / Asteraceae / Wild Plant - Europe. Only this species ensures the highest concentration of active herbal Alkaloids. N.B: Do not use if Pregnant or Breast Feeding. N.B: It is not a Pain - relieving herb and will therefore not assist once the Head - Ache has begun. N.B: Handling plants can cause Dermatitis in anyone sensitive to its Chemical composition. Main Use: To promote Menstruation, prevent Arthritis, Head - Ache, Fever, Migraine & Tension and to allow restful Sleep. Cultivation: An easy to grow, small grey Perennial herb with hairy stems with white yellow centred flowers in a clump with a wide tolerance of soils with good drainage and likes full Sun and regular watering in Summertime, evergreen in Winter and Frost - hardy. Products: the Leaves, Flowers & Stems are used, but it is the Leaves mostly, picked whenever required. Sow the Seeds in Spring & Autumn, or use the cuttings and divide in Spring.
