shedding
the Hair leaving the
Skin
rough and sore.
Treatment: Horses on Grass should
receive
Seaweed Meal
Dolomite at least twice a week, in a small
feed. RAYNAUD’S

Cold Hands and Feet. Symptoms: A Nervous
Disorder that causes
the Ears, Fingers or the Nose
to become white and feel dead,
and if Acute serious wounds
will not Bleed. (More common in Women.)
Sometimes it can be a symptom of Scleroderma, a
rare and serious Disease that involves hardening
of the Skin and damage
to the Internal Organs. Cause:
Seems to be constriction and spasms
of the Small Arteries / Arterioles- that
bring Blood to the Fingers,
and as the Blood flow diminishes
the Fingers become painful
and turn white or
bluish, and occasionally also in
the Nose and Toes. Herbs:
Borage: contains GLA, the same as
Evening Primrose Oil, and can also be massaged
into the Fingers. Evening
Primrose Oil: contains a good deal of
Gamma - Linolenic Acid / GLA to relieve this Condition
massaged into the Fingers. Garlic:
works to improve Circulation and can be
combined with Ginkgo, which also assists with Circulation.
Add more Garlic to the diet or take in Capsules.
Ginger: a hot
herb used to treat Conditions
involving cold, including Fingers
caused by this condition as it lowers
Blood Pressure
and Cholesterol levels
that assists to normalize Blood
flow all over the Body, including the Fingers.
Ginkgo: improves Blood Circulation especially
through the Brain for recovery from Stroke
and Mental slowing in the Aged.
Used for Intermittent Claudication

Narrowing of the Arteries in the Legs, also especially, to
improve the
ability to walk, a similar Condition except that
it affects the Fingers instead. The medicinal
part is the Leaf, but the Ginkgolide
activity in them is in low concentration so use Capsules or Pills made from a
50:1 ratio or try 60 - 240mg a day in a Tincture. N.B:
Do not go any higher with the dosage as
large amounts of the herb may cause Diarrhoea,
Irritability and Restlessness. Indian
Snakeroot: contains Reserpine,
which opens / dilates the Blood Vessels and is
used to treat this Condition. Mustard:
is a Rubefacient and when applied as a Plaster
to the Skin causes mild
irritation that increases the local Blood supply
resulting in a warm, tingling sensation. Plaster: mix 4 ounces of
fresh ground Seeds with warm water to make a thick paste and apply it to the Fingers.
Other Rubefacients include Cloves,
Garlic, Ginger, Horseradish, Stinging Nettle, Peppermint
Oil, Rosemary Oil and Rue, which can also be used in a similar way for
this Condition. Red
Pepper: is a Rubefacient and used to be
sprinkled in shoes to keep the Feet warm in
winter. Mix with Vegetable Oil and rub into the Fingers
or add to any food especially Salad dressing. Also add some to EPO,
Borage Oil or Currant
Oil and use externally. N.B:
Do not get any in the Eyes
and wash your
hands thoroughly.
RAYNAUD’S
Disease: Symptoms: Constant Cold Feet
and Hands especially in Winter. Cause:
An abnormal Spasm of Blood
Vessels, poor Circulation
in the extremities usually initially caused by smoking that
creates peripheral vaso - constriction, which
lessens the Blood flow to the extremities. If
smoking - stop. Vitamin E required in the diet
to improve Circulation. Hawthorn
Berry can assist to dilate the Blood
Vessels especially in the extremities and this warms the Feet
and Hands. Ginkgo
and Garlic
can also improve Circulation and Chilli
Peppers included in the food will warm you up also and can be taken as a
Capsule or Tablet. Formula: Vitamin E, Ginkgo,
Garlic, Hawthorn, Cayenne and Vitamin B3

4 times a day if possible and drink
plenty of Fresh Natural Water
/ 6 to 8 glasses a
day. Avoid Oranges
and Tomatoes and increase intake of
Fruit and Vegetables
and reduce
Red Meats
and Acid foods.
Nuts and Wheat
could also be involved. Choose Buckwheat,
Rice and Rye.
Include
Cod Liver Oil in
the diet or Fish
Oil as it relieves the
pain as they contain
Essential Fatty Acids
and have anti
- Inflammatory properties. Include
Celery Seed in

RINGING IN THE EARS: See Tinnitus. RINGWORM / Tinea - Also see Athlete's Foot.
