941 AD 101.Murtagh - of the Leather Cloaks the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 33rd King of Aileach in Northern Ulster and heir - apparent, covered his men in leather cloaks and attacked the Vikings set up in Ireland during the Winter time.

942 AD. *103.Lorcan / Fingin, the son of 102.Lachtna, who was a Chieftain of the Dalcassians was to die this year after he had revived the fortunes of the Heberian Dal gCais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough Sept previously, by capturing 101.Flann "Sinna" the "Southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain Prince of Meath who was the son of 100.Malachy the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Niaill 163rd King of Ireland. (101.Flann later became the 165th King of Ireland in his own right.) He had earlier defiled "Magh Adhair" (The Meadow of the Sacred Oaks) the Inauguration Mound of the Dal gCais Tuath / Family region were 57 Kings of Thomond were to be crowned. This had done nothing for the prestige of 101.Flann at that time, but it certainly lifted the spirits of the Dal gCais Septsas after this *103.Lorcan was informed by 102.Cormac mac Cuilennain the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil 31st King of Munster of the right of the Dal gCais Sept, descended from 85.Cormac "Cass," to alternate the Kingship of Munster with their Heberian kinsmen the Eoghanachta Sept descended from his brother, 85.Eoghan "Mor." This had been the original decree of their common direct ancestor *84.Ailill "Oluimm" the Heberian 1st King of Munster descended from 37.Heber "Fionn" and it was then to be acted upon by his son, *104.Kennedy / Cennetig. 

    *103.Lorcan had 5 sons, (1) 104.Coscrach his second son became the direct ancestor of the Muintir Seanachain, Muintir Chnaimhin, Muintir Ogain, Muintir Allathaigh, Muinntear Mhaol Ruanuidh, Muintir Chloiarn, Muintir Ainghiodha and the Muintir Mhaine who produced the Families of the O Aingidys, O Bowens, O Cosgraves of Munster, O Flahertys of Co. Kerry, O Gloirns, O Hogans, O Lorkans / Lorkins / Larkins, O Maines and O Sheehans.  (2) 104.Congal, (3) 104.Bran "Fionn" who is the ancestor of the Siol mBroin of Dubhthir Laighean / Sliocht Branfinn in Dufferin in Co. Wexford in the south - east of Southern Leinster who also anglicized their name as O Brien. (4) 104.Longargan became the direct ancestor of the Lonergans. His other son was (5) 104.Kennedy / Cennetig who was to lift the prestige of the Ui Bloid Ui Turlough Septs towards their highest level and produce 105.Mahon the 39th King of Munster and 105.Brian "Boru" - of the Tributes the 41st King of Munster and 170th High King of Ireland.  

943 AD 101.Murtough / Muirchertach - of the Leather Cloaks, the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 33rd King of Aileach in Northern Ulster and the joint heir - apparent to the Ui Niaill High Kingship of Ireland was killed in battle this year against Olaf / Auluf the Viking King of Dublin. (101.Murtough was a son of 100.Niall - of the Black Knee the previous 165th King of Ireland who had died in 916 AD, the direct ancestor of all the O Nialls / O Neills of Ulster Province.

943 AD Olaf  "Cuaran" the Viking King of Dublin and York was baptised a Christian in Northumbria Province of France along the Channel coast, which was taken in this Century by the Catholic Bishop of Canterbury in the presence of the English King and he was then to send his Bishops / supervisors to be ordained at Canterbury, which gave the English a hold over the English channel.

944 AD 102.Donough / Donnchad "Donn" the "Southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 166th King of Ireland, died, this year, who was a son of 101.Flann "Sinna" the previous 164th King of Ireland descended from 91.Colman "Mor" (Clann Cholmain) one of the 3 sons of 90.Diamait mac Carroll / Cerbaill the 133rd King of Tara / Ireland, a grandson of 88.Conal "Cremthainne," one of the 8 sons of 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland (Ui Niaill). (The Book of Armagh had been enclosed in a case / cumdach supplied by 102.Donough "Donn.") 

       101.Congalach "Cnogba" - of Knowth / North Brega the "Southern" Ui Niaill Siol nAedo Slaine 33rd King of Brega became the 167th King of Ireland until 956 AD, who was a son of 100.Mael "Mithig," the previous 29th King of Brega, a son of 99.Flannacan the 27th King of Brega, the son of 98.Kelly / Ceallach, a son of 97.Congalach the 19th King of Brega, a son of 96.Conaing the 16th King of Brega, a son of 95.Auley / Amalgaid the 12th King of Brega, the son of 94.Congalach the 10th King of Brega, one of the 2 sons of 93.Conaing "Cuirre" the 6th King of Brega, a son of 92.Congal, one of the 5 sons of 91.Aed "Slaine the joint 139th King of Ireland (Siol nAedo Slaine) another of the 3 sons of 90.Diarmait mac Carroll the 133rd King of Tara / Ireland. (After 10 generations the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn  "Southern" Ui Niaill Siol NAedo Slaine Sept, descending from 88.Conall "Cremthainne," had regained the Kingship).

       Parts of the original Dal Cuinn kingdoms of Mide / Co. Westmeath, Tethbae / Co. Longford and Brega / Co. Meath in Northern Leinster had been divided up between the "Southern" Ui Niaill descendants of 5 of the 8 brothers descending from 86.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th King of Tara / Ireland, including 88.Maine, and 88.Cairpre in Tethbae who also had territory in south - west Brega and Northern Connacht. Their other "Southern" Ui Niaill kingdom of the Cenel Fiachach Sept, descended from another of the brothers, 88.Fiachu also fell within Southern Mide, while those of 89.Ardgal, another son of 88.Conall "Cremthainne," and another brother, 88.Laoghaire were also in Mide. The Siol nAedo Slaine Sept held the territory exclusively around Tara in Brega in Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster, but the "Southern" Ui Niaill Princes themselves actually lived at Raith Aithir (Oristown), Loch nGabor / Lagore / South Brega below Tara south of the River Boyne, and from the 9th Century AD at Knowth / Cnogba / North Brega north of the River Boyne. The Clann Cholmain Sept descended from 91.Colman "Mor" originally held the title of Kings of Uisnech / Rig Uisnig after the ancient important hill in there territory although they were also the Kings of Mide / Meath. (During the 10th and 11th Century AD their Malachy / Ui Mael Sechnaill Kings were at Dun na Sciath beside Loch Ennell or at Cro - Inis on the Loch itself in Co. Westmeath).    

     The strength of the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn  Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Breifne Sept in the Connacht Province  was still growing as they were descended from 78.Brion the original 1st King of Connacht and his son, 79.Daui "Tenga Uma" - of the Sweet Tongue the 3rd King of Connacht, his son, 89.Eogan "Srem" and his son, 90.Fergus (Ui Briuin Breifne) their direct ancestor and by now they had developed many more Septs in their own kingdom of Breifne, which took in territory in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht and the adjoining Co. Cavan in Southern Ulster.

947 AD 108.Donough / Donnchad the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory, the son of 107.Kelly / Ceallach defeated the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Septs in Southern Leinster and 108.Broen their Ui Dunlainge Ui Faelain 38th King of Leinster was killed along with the Ui Cheinnselaig King. 110.Toole / Tuathal became the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Lughaidh Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Muiredaig 39th King of Leinster, who was a son of 106.Augaire the previous 35th King of Leinster descended from 103.Murray / Muiredach the 18th King of Leinster the direct ancestor of the Ui Muiredaig Sept.    

      102.Gormlaith the daughter of 101.Flann “Sinna“ the previous Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn  "Southern" Ui Niaill 165th King of Ireland, died, this year, who had been originally betrothed to 102.Cormac mac Cuilennain the 31st King of Cashel / Munster who had declined due to his commitment to his religious convictions and she then had to marry 107.Carroll / Cerball the 34th King of Leinster and later still 100.Niall “Glun Dubh" - of the Black Knee” the "Northern" Ui Niaill 165th King of Ireland the direct ancestor of all the O Nialls - O Neills of Ulster.

950 AD 104.Kennedy became the Dalcassian Ui Bloid Ui Turlough King of Thomond and was a son of 103.Lorcan / Fingin, and his mother was 100.Babhion, a daughter of 99.Arcadh O Flaherty, a son of 98.Murrough O Flaherty the Ui Briuin Seola King of West / Iar Connacht. Of his sons, 105.Duncan / Donncuan was the Tánaiste / Heir - apparent of Thomond who was to  become the ancestor of the O Lonergans,  O Gunnings, O Kennedys, O Regans, O Kellehers etc. 105.Ahern / Echthighern was to be the ancestor of the O Ahernes and Mac Raiths / Mac Graths who would be historians and bards to the Ui mBriain Kings and ecclesiastics in Co. Clare and Co. Limerick in the mid - north - west of the Munster Province. 105.Marcan / marc / steed was the Abbot of Killaloe, Tomgraney and Emly monasteries in Munster. 105.Mahon was to become the future 39th King of Munster, 105.Brian “Boru”- of the Tributes was to be the 41st King of Munster and 170th High King of Ireland. All of the brothers worked well together and they were able to defeat the Vikings with their Dalcassian warriors "Who were always the first into battle and the last out." (The Vikings were now made up mostly of the Danes under their leader, Ivor in Limerick, which was situated on the opposite side of the east bank of the River Shannon to Co. Clare in the north - west of Munster).

      Blathmac, died, this year, who was the Abbot of Skellig Michael monastery off the coast of Co. Kerry in the south - west of the Munster Province.  A Round Tower 75' high, was constructed at Swords / Sord Cholaim Chille (St. Columbcille's Sword) situated on the River Ward near the estuary, which is still there in Co. Dublin, in the north - west of Southern Leinster, originally a foundation of 91.St. Columbcille were he had put in St. Finnian to oversee.

       104.Matudan the Dal Fiatach 41st King of Ulaid, died, this year, who was one of the 3 sons of 103.Aedh the previous 37th King of Ulaid and his brothers had been 104.Dubgall the previous 38th King of Ulaid and 104.Niall who would be the future 43rd King of Ulaid, 105.Ardgal became the Dal Fiatach 42nd King of Ulaid, in the north - east of Ulster, who was the son of 104.Matudan the previous 41st King of Ulaid.

       The Vikings in Dublin set fire to the Round Tower in Slane in Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster killing the people inside who were seeking refuge there.

950 AD - 951AD 101.Congalach "Cnogba"- of Knowth the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern Ui Niaill Sil nAedo Slaine 167th King of Ireland invaded the Northern Munster / Thomond region to express the Ui Niaill's authority in Mogha's Half, which was under the jurisdiction of the Dal gCais Sept and he killed two of 104.Kennedys sons, 105.Duncan / Donncuan the Tánaiste / heir - apparent and 105.Aherne / Echthigern who had supported the Eoghanacht Septs under the leadership of 104.Callaghan / Cellachan the Chaisil 34th King of Cashel / Munster. 101.Conghalach’s position as the Ui Niaill King of Ireland was being challenged, which showed his alarm at 104.Kennedy's rise to power who was now also the heir - apparent to the Munster Kingship.
