896 AD 101.Mael "Mocheirge" the King of Leth Ulaid from the Dal Fiatach Leth Cathail Sept, died, who was a son of 100.Indrechtach, a son of 99.Tumelty - Tomaltach, the son of 98.Cathal - Cahal the direct ancestor of the Leth Cathail Sept, a son of 97.Murray - Muiredach the son of 96.Angus - Oengus one of the 2 sons of 95.Mael " Cobo " the previous 13th King of Ulaid. He had been a brother to 101.Cathalan a previous King of Leth Ulaid who had died in 871 AD.

      103.Murray - Muiredach the Dal Fiatach 35th King of Leth - Ulaid, died, also this year, who was one of the 2 sons of 102.Eochocan the previous 31st King of Leth - Ulaid who was also descended from 95.Mael "Cobo" the 13th King of Ulaid through his other son, 96.Blathmac the 14th King of Ulaid. This was the end of his male line to the Kingship but he was also to be a brother to 103.Aed the future 37th King of Ulaid who would continue on their particular line. The Kingship now changed back to the Irian Dal nAraidi Sept when;

     104.Aitith became the Irian Dal nAraidi Ui Echach Cobo 36th King of Ulaid, who was the son of 103.Laigne, a son of 102.Blathmac, a son of 101.Donnell - Domnall, a son of 100.Conor - Conchobar, the son of 99.Bressal, one of the 2 sons of 98.Fergal the previous 16th King of Ulaid who had died in 692 AD descended from 91.Eochy - Echu, one of the 2 sons of 90.Crond "Ba Drui," who was also the direct ancestor of the Ui Echach Cobo Sept.

 897 AD 103.Finguine "Cenn nGecan" the Eoghanacht Chaisil 30th King of Cashel - Munster had his fortress on the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province and he was to be the 27th King there in succession since his direct ancestor 91.Aengus - Oengus, and his brother, 91.Aillil were baptised there by St. Patrick.       

      During this Century St. Baodan founded the Abbey of Clontuskert in Co. Galway in the south - west of the Connacht Province, which was to be rebuilt twice in the future by the monks after it was to be first burnt down in 1413 AD and then totally destroyed later on by the forces of Oliver Cromwell pushing the Irish to "Connacht or Hell."  - The "Book of Invasions" ("Lebor Gabhala") was written during this Century also. - The Stowe Missal, which was a Mass Book, was also written in this Century at Lorrha monastery in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province, which still can be seen at the Royal Irish Academy in Dublin while the metal Shrine that surrounded it can be viewed at the National Museum also in Dublin.

898 AD The Vikings attacked Armagh again in Co. Armagh in the south - east of the Ulster Province, this time from their settlement on Loch Foyle in Co. Derry in the north - east of the Ulster.

898 AD 104.Aitith the Irian Dal nAraidi Ui Echach Cobo 36th King of Ulaid, died, whose father was 103.Laigne, a son of 102.Blathmac, a son of 101.Donnell - Domnall, the son of 100.Conor - Conchobar, the son of 99.Bressal the Ui Echach Cobo King who had died in 685 AD. This was the end of his particular male line altogether, which stretched back through 98.Fergus the previous 16th King of the Ulaid to 91.Eochy - Echu the direct ancestor of the Ui Echach Cobo Sept who was one of the 2 sons of 90.Crond " Ba Drui." During the 10th Century AD the Dal nAraidi Sept were to take over the nearby Eilne lands in the Ulster Province. The Kingship now returned to the Dal Fiatach Sept.

898 - 919 AD 103.Aed mac Eochocain became the Dal Fiatach 37th King of Ulaid, who was another of the 2 sons of 102.Eochocan the previous 31st King of Leth Ulaid and he transferred his royal patronage in Co. Down from Downpatrick to Bangor on the east coast in the Ulster Province.

     The Ui Niaill Septs now under 101.Flann "Sinna" the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 164th High King of Ireland were the High Kings of Ireland - without opposition.

         In the Munster Province a definite East Munster and West Munster division occurred creating 2/5ths of Ireland there.

900 AD A permanent settlement at Waterford in Co. Waterford in the south - east of the Munster Province was established by the Vikings adjacent to the Co. Kilkenny border in Southern Leinster.

      107.Diarmait the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Connla King of Ossory, the son of 106.Carroll - Cerball a previous King of Ossory, was driven from the kingdom of Ossory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster and 107.Kelly - Ceallach, another son of 106.Carroll - Cerball became the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Connla King of Ossory until 908 AD and with his followers in Ossory he defeated the Heberian Cianachta Eile Sept and the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Muscraige Sept and 110 were killed in the battle.

      103.Lorcan aka Finghin the son of 102.Lachtna had by now become the (In Deis Tuaiscirt ) Dal gCais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough King of Tuath Muman - Thomond - North Munster based on Co. Clare, the north of Co. Tipperary, the north of Co. Limerick, and Co. Waterford. He was to produce 5 sons, 104.Kennedy - Ceann Eidigh who would be the ancestor of the mBriain Sept of the O Brians - O Briens and the O Kennedys. His other sons were 104.Cosgach the direct ancestor of the O Hogan families in the Munster Province, 104.Longargan the direct ancestor of the O Lonergans, 104.Congal, and 104.Brann "Fionn" the direct ancestor of the Ui Briain Sept.

      Up until this period in time the Brehon Lawyers in Ireland had produced 18 Law Books containing all of the Irish Brehon Laws.

         104.Cathal became the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muiredaig Ui Conchobair 41st King of Connacht who was a brother to 104.Teague - Tadhg the previous 40th King of Connacht and another of the 4 sons of 103.Conor - Conchobar the 38th King of Connacht.

         A Round Tower was built at Castledermot.

        Aigide the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Niaill King of Tethbae in Co. Westmeath in the south - west of Northern Leinster, died, and was interred in Durrow monastery in Co. Offaly in the north - west of Southern Leinster.

        102.Kennedy - Cenn "Etig" the Irian Dal nAraidi 36a King of Ulaid, died, who was a son of 101.Lethlobar the previous 29th King of Ulaid descended from 95.Fiachnae "Lurgan" the 9th King of Ulaid through 91.Coelub, one of the 2 sons of 90.Crond "Ba Drui."
