                                       *87.Fiachra the original second King of Connacht - *124.Diarmait

       *86.Eochy / Eochaidh Muighmheadoinwas the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn 124th King of Tara / Ireland who was descended from *80.Conn of the Hundred Battles the 110th King of Tara / Ireland the direct male line ancestor of the Dal Cuinn Septs. He in turn was descended from *60.Coffey / Cobthach the 69th King of Tara / Erinn, a son of *59.Ugaine the Great the 66th King of Tara / Erinn, a descendant of *37.Heremon the Celtic Gaelic Milesian joint 1st King of Tara / Erinn / Ireland who is the direct male line ancestor of the Heremonians.  *86.Eochy / Eochaidh "Muighmheadoin" was the father of 5 sons, 87.Ailill, (Ui Aiello), 87.Brion (Ui Briuin), *87.Fiachra (Ui Fiachrach) 87.Fergus (no issue) and their half - brother, 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages (Ui Niaill)

     *87.Fiachra is the direct male line ancestor of two main Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Felim Dal Cuinn Septs / Family branches the Ui Fiachrach  "Muaide" / "Moy" Sept in Northern Connacht and the Ui Fiachrach "Aidni" Sept in Southern Connacht,

    *87.Fiachra was the original second King of Connacht (The Land of *80.Conn) whose mother was *89.Mongfind / Mon Fionn, a sister to 89.Criffan / Crimthann "Mor" the King of Munster and 125th King of Tara / Ireland, who were both the daughter, and son of 88.Lare "Fidach" the previous Heberian Eoghanacht King of Munster descended from 37.Heber "Fionn" - of Fair Complexion, (Heberians) a brother to *37.Heremon (Heremonians). *87.Fiachra's brother, 87.Brion had been the previous original first King of Connacht and is the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Septs there, and another brother, 87.Ailill is the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Ailello Septs there. They were all full - brothers whose 3 Septs became known as the 3 Connachta in the Connacht Province named for their ancestor *80.Conn of the Hundred Battles the 110th King of Tara / Ireland who is direct male line ancestor of the (Dal Cuinn). There half - brother, 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages became the 126th King of Tara / Ireland who is the direct male line ancestor of the "Northern" and "Southern" Ui Niaill Septs*87.Fiachra had 5 sons;

     88.Auley / Awley / Amhalgaidh who was the Ui Fiachrach 1st King of Connacht whose territory was in Tir nAmalgado (The Land of 88. Auley) in Northern Connacht now known as the Barony there in Co. Mayo in the mid - west of the Connacht Province and he was also the 1st Christian King there, after receiving instructions personally from St. Patrick. Another son was;

     88.Earc "Ciul Buidhe" - of the Yellow Hair / *88.macc "Ercae" who was to be the direct male line ancestor of the Fir Chera Sept through his son, 89.Maine "Munbrecc" the father of, 90.Ross, the father of, 91.Feradach who became the Ui Fiachrach 7th King of Connacht. In turn his son 92.Mael "Umai" was to be the father of 93.Mael "Cothaid"/ 93.Donn "Cothaid" who became the Ui Fiachrach 10th King of Connacht who was to die in 602 / 3 AD ending the Fir Chera male line altogether to the Kingship. Two other sons were (3) 88.Breasal and (4) 88. Conaire who left no issue towards the Kings of Connacht. The other son, who carried the Ui Fiachrach male line forward also to the Kingship of Tara / Ireland was;

    *88.Dathi / Nathi who became the Ui Fiachrach 2nd King of Tara / Ireland after the demise of his uncle, 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages the previous 126th King of Tara / Ireland (Ui Niaill). One of *88.Nathi's 3 sons was 89.Fiachnae who was to become the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Fiachrach "Muaide" / Moy Septs, which were to be represented much later on in more modern times by the O Dowds in the north - west of the Connacht Province. His son, 90.Elgach was to be the father of 91.Maeldub, whose son 92.Tipraite was to be the father of 93.Dunchad "Muirisci" the future Ui Fiachrach "Muaide" 16th King of Connacht, (the first from the "Ui Muaide" Sept) who also left behind 3 sons to carry their male line forward. 94.Indrechtach who became the Ui Fiachrach "Muaide" 20th King of Connacht who was to die in 707 AD whose son 95.Ailill "Medraige" was to become the Ui Fiachrach "Muaide" 26th King of Connacht who was to die in 764 AD. Although his son, 96.Cathal was then to become the Ui Fiachrach King by then they had lost their right to the Kingship of Connacht totally to the descendants of 87.Fiachra's brother, 87.Brion the direct male line ancestor of the Ui Briuin Septs in Connacht. When 96.Cathal died in 816 AD this ended their particular  branch of the Ui Fiachrach "Muaide" line to the Kingships. Another grandson, of 93.Dunchad "Muirisci," in 95.Tipraite was to die in 719 AD leaving no issue towards the Kingship, but his 3rd son, 94.Ailill became the father of another 95.Cathal whose son was also known as 96.Donn "Cothaid" who became the Ui Fiachrach "Muaide" 28th King of Connacht. He was to be the last King of Connacht altogether from the Ui Fiachrach "Muaide" Sept when he was to die in 773 AD as his son, 97.Cathmug also left no issue towards the Kingship when he died in 787 AD. His demise was to bring to finally bring to an end the Ui Fiachrach male line emanating from *87.Fiachra to the Kingship of Connacht altogether as the Ui Briuin Ai male line emanating from his brother 87.Brion began their pre - eminence in Connacht.

       The "Northern" Ui Fiachrach Muaide territory took in the present Barony of Tireagh / Tir Fiachrach (The Land of *87.Fiachra) in Co. Sligo in the north - west of the Connacht Province. Despite this it was also previously much larger then this as it also took in much of the Baronies of Gallen and Tir Awley ( The Land of 88.Awley) in Co. Mayo in the mid - west of Connacht. The River Moy / Muaidh was to be known previously by many names, first as the Sal Srtotha, then as the Moda, Moadus, Maudis, Moyus, Muidh and finally as the Moy / Muaidh. It begins in the Barony of Leyney in Co. Sligo and runs to the sea through the Barony of Gallen in Co. Mayo, Foxford and Ballina / Ardnaree in the Barony of Tir Awley. This is six miles to the north to the Bay of Killala where the River acts as the boundary for Co. Mayo and Co. Sligo.

    Despite this later downfall of the fortunes of the Ui Fiachrach Sept, early on, the second of the 3 sons of *88.Dathi / *88.Nathi the son of *87.Fiachra, was 89.Ailill "Molt" who had become the Ui Fiachrach 2nd King of Connacht and also the 4th King of Tara / Ireland who was to die in 482 AD the father of another 90.macc Ercae who was to die in 543 AD who left no issue towards the Kingships. It was to be his other son, 90.Kelly / Cellach who was to carry it forward, becoming the father of 91.Eogan "Bel" who became the Ui Fiachrach 4th King of Connacht who was to die in 543 / 7, who in turn was to be the father of 92.Ailill "Inbanda" who then became the Ui Fiachrach 5th King of Connacht who was to die in 550 AD, also leaving no issue to the Kingship, which saw an end to their male line altogether from 89.Ailill "Molt" the 4th King of Tara / Ireland to the Kingships.

     *88.Dathi / Nathi's third son, *89.Echu / Eochy became the more direct male line ancestor of the "Southern" Ui Fiachrach Aidni Sept / Family branch who were to have their territory in Southern Connacht and produce 5 Kings of Connacht. He became the ancestor of the Muintir Mhuirein, Muintir Mhaoilduin, Muintir Chomain, Muintir Mhaoilfhoghmhair, Muintir Chreachain, Muintir Leannain, Muintir Fhlaithile and Muintir Shuanaigh / O Shaughnessy / Ui Seachnasaig. It was then to be up to his son;

*90.Eogan / Owen to continue their male line forward, who became the father of;

His other son was;

*96.Artgal who nevertheless became the father of 97.Fergal "Aidni" who became the "Southern" Ui Fiachrach "Aidni" 17th King of Connacht who was to be the last from the male line of the "Ui Fiachrach Aidni" Sept descending from *87.Fiachra (Ui Fiachrach) to the Kingships when he was to die in 696 AD.  He was a brother to 97.Fergus who became the direct male line ancestor of the O Heynes / O Hynes, the Muintir Thomholtain, the Muintir Chathmhogh and the Clann Mheic Giolla Kelly / Cellaig and a brother to 97.Murrough / Murchad the direct male line ancestor of the O Brennans / Ui Branain, Cenel Aodha and the O Clearys / Ui Cleirigh.
