861 AD 99.Gormlaith, died, who had been the daughter of 98.Donough - Donnchad the previous Heremonian U Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 158th King of Ireland and the Queen of 98.Niall "Caille" the previous Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill 161st King of Ireland.

861 AD 106.Carroll - Cerball the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Connla King of Ossory drove off the Vikings who were raiding the Grange Fertagh monastery.

862 AD 106.Carroll - Cerball the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Connla King of Ossory carried out an attack on the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu Corb Septs to try and expand his own authority further in Southern Leinster by taking booty but a fortnight later the Cu Corb Septs retaliated attacking the kingdom of Ossory and  took booty from them.

863 AD The Vikings on the River Boyne plundered New Grange, Knowth and Dowth along the east coast of the Leinster Province while the Irish Chiefs at this time were finally able to drive them out of the Dublin area in  the north - east of Southern Leinster.

     106.Muirecan the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Faelain 29th King of Leinster, died, whose father was 105.Diarmait, one of the 2 sons of 104.Rory - Ruaidri the previous 20th King of Leinster, the son of 103.Faelan the 16th King of Leinster the direct ancestor of the Ui Faelain Sept. He had 3 sons, 107.Donnell - Domhnall who would become the future 32nd King of Leinster, 107.Carroll - Cerball the future 34th King of Leinster and 107.Maelmorda who was the one who would eventually continue to carry their particular Ui Faelain male line forward.

     106.Dunlaing became the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu Corb Ui Dunlaing Ui Muiredaig 30th King of Leinster, who was one of the 2 sons of 105.Murray - Muiredach, one of the 2 sons of 104.Bran "Ardchenn" the previous 21st King of Leinster, the son of 103.Murray - Muiredach the 18th King of Leinster and direct ancestor of the Ui Muiredaig Sept in Southern Leinster.

864 AD The region of Sruthar Slebhte and Acadh Arglais were plundered by the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Connla Sept in the kingdom of Ossory in the south - west of Southern Leinster while the Septs in the north of Ossory carried out a great defeat over the Vikings.

     The Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Deisi Sept who were descended from 81.Angus - Oengus "Bolg" aka "Gaibuaibthech" - of the Poisonous Spear - destroyed the Norse Viking fort in Waterford on the east coast of Co. Waterford in the south - east of the Munster Province.

866 AD The Irish Septs under 99.Aed "Finn Liath" the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 163rd King of Ireland attacked the Vikings capturing all their settlements north of Dublin in mid - eastern Leinster Province and this made them reduce their raids as their attacks on the monasteries also declined whikle Olaf the White the Viking Norwegian King concentrated on raiding Alba - Scotland instead. Ivar the Boneless the Viking Prince had also landed in East Anglia to seek revenge for his father, Ragnar's death who had been previously executed by the Saxon King, Ella in Northumbria by throwing him into a pit of snakes. 

     The Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Sept was once again on the ascendant and infighting occurred within their strongest growing Sept and 104.Teague - Tadhg mac Diarmata was killed by his brothers in Southern Leinster, who were sons of 103.Diarmait, a son of 102.Rudgal, a son of 101.Aed, a son of 100.Onchu, one of the 2 sons of 99.Faelan the previous 9th Ui Cheinnselaig King, a son of 98.Silan, one of the 2 sons of 97.Eogan "Caech," one of the 2 sons of 96.Nathi, a son of 95.Criffan - Crimthann the 1st Ui Cheinnselaig King who had been the Cu Corb 3rd King of Leinster.

867 AD 99.Aedh "Finn Liath" - of the White Hair the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill 163rd High King of Ireland used the opportunity to attack the Vikings on Loch Foyle on the water near Drogheda - Droichead Atha (The Bridge of the Ford) in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster to try and drive them out of Ireland completely.

868 AD 106.Carroll - Cerball the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Connla King of Ossory, a son of Dungal, attacked the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Deisi Sept to further expand his own authority in Southern Leinster.

869 AD 103.Conor the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muiredaig 38th King of Connacht defeated the Norwegian Vikings near Drogheda in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster.

     106.Dowling - Dunlaing the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Muiredaig 30th King of Leinster, died, whose father was 105.Murray - Muiredach, one of the 2 sons of 104.Bran "Ardchenn" the previous 21st King of Leinster and his male line was to be carried forward through his son, 107.Ailill who became the 31st King of Leinster.

870 AD Olaf the White the Norwegian Viking King and Ivar the Boneless raided Alba -  Scotland but returned to Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster as the Kings of the Northmen with many of their captives, which included many Celtic Britons and many Celtic Picts. Olaf the White the Norwegian King was then killed and his Christian Queen, Aud went off to colonise Iceland where the Irish Cul De - Caldees the sect of reforming monks were already set up. The Vikings at this time now seemed to concentrate more on Briton and Ireland was to have some reprieve for the next 44 years until 914 AD.  

     Despite this reversal of the ongoing Viking attacks it was still unknown to the monks on the island of Iona between Ireland & Scotland who had finally had enough and they left there for good because of the previous constant attacks by the Vikings there and they now settled permanently into Kells - Ceanannus Mor in Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster near the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Niaill Kings were they founded the settlement of the Kindred of the Ui Columb Cille.
