                                                                                      801 AD - 810 AD

800 AD The High Crosses of Ossory at Kilkieran and Ahenny / Ath Thine in Co. Tipperary in the north - east of the Munster Province on the Co. Kilkenny border in the south - west of Southern Leinster were created, having unusual spiral and network patterns instead of the usual panels, depicting the consequence of death during those times and there are also some traces still existing there of the original St. Kieran's / Ciaran's Church.

801 AD Baltard and Hag’s Head were struck by an earthquake this year.

802 AD The monastery on the island of Iona / The island of Saints - was to be destroyed 3 times from this date on by the Viking Norsemen who were after gold and jewels and who also carried out 14 raids on the monastery at Kildare in Central Southern Leinster and as the books and manuscripts where to have no value to them they were discarded and "drowned " but despite this some of the manuscripts were to still to survive their continuing ongoing onslaught.

104.Fergal the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory, died, who was a son of 103.Anmchaidh a previous King of Ossory and 105.Dungal became the new Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla King of Ossory / Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster until 842 AD, who was the son of 104.Fergal,

101.Muirgius the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muiredaig 31st King of Connacht carried out an attack in the south were he destroyed the crannogs on Loch Ree / Riach on the River Shannon in the territory of the Delbna Nuadat Sept in Co. Roscommon in  the east of the Connacht Province.

803 AD 105.Finsnechta “Cetharderc“ the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Dunchada 22nd King of Leinster had Angus / Oengus mac Mugron the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu  Corb Ui Failge King, who was descended from 91.Ros "Failge," killed, and his successor was also killed at Rathangan /  Rath Imomghain in Co. Kildare in Central Southern Leinster.

100.Aed "Allen" from the Heberian Eoghanacht Locha Lein Sept was killed in battle between the Eoghanacht Septs and the Ciarraige Septs. He was a brother to 100.Con Cu Chongelt the King of Iar Muman, who had died previously in 791 AD and both were sons of 99.Coirpre, a son of 98.Cu "Dinaisc," the son of 97.Foirchelach, a son of 96.Cenn "Faelad," a son of 95.Aed "Find," one of the 3 sons of 94.Criffan / Crimthann from West Munster / Iar Muma descended from 90.Coirpe "Luachra" one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall "Corc."

The Sogain Sept revolted against their overlords from the Maenmag Ui Maine kingdom of which Loch Ree was the centre in Southern Connacht. 101.Muirgius the Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muiredaig 31st King of Connacht was very aggressive against the subject tribes of Connacht while demonstrating the authority the Ui Briuin had by now gained there, which also involved the occupation of their lands. He made one of his sons, 102.Cormac the Abbot of Baslick, which was a Ciarraige Ai Sept church close to Cruachu in the Ui Briuin Ai territory.

804 AD 97.Aed “Oirdnide the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 159th King of Ireland attended a meeting at Duncuair at north Enfield on the border of Leinster Province presided over by Condmach the Abbot of Armagh, and 97.Aed "Oirdnide" freed all of the monasteries from their obligation to provide fighting men. 97.Aed "Oirdnide" then attacked Southern Leinster and submitted 105.Finsnechta “Cetharderc“ the Cu Corb Ui Dunchada 22nd King of Leinster, twice.

805 AD 97.Aed “ Oirdnide“ the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 159th King of Ireland returned to Southern Leinster where he deposed 105.Finsnechta "Cetharderc" the 22nd King of Leinster and divided the Kingship of Leinster up between 105.Murray / Muiredach, the son of 104.Ruaidri the previous 20th King of Leinster from the Ui Faelain Sept and 105.Murray / Muiredach, the son of 104.Bran "Ardchenn"  the previous 21st King of Leinster from the Ui Muiredaig Sept. Prior to this he had tried to divide Southern Leinster between 99.Conor / Conchobar and 99.Ailill who were two sons of 98.Donough / Donnchad “Midi“ the previous "Northern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 158th King of Ireland.  99.Conor / Conchobar had since killed his brother and reunited the kingdom and he was later to become the 160th King of Ireland reasserting the right of the "Southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain to alternate the Kingship after 97.Aed "Oirdnide" was to die.

102.Cormac, the son of 101.Muirgius the Ui Briuin Siol Muiredaig 31st King of Connacht, who he had installed as the Abbott of the Baslick church was killed by the Ciarraige Ai Sept, so he laid waste to their lands and gave sanctuary to 105.Finsnechta "Cetharderc" the previous 22nd King of Leinster during his exile.

806 AD 105.Finsnechta "Cetharderc" recovered his previous kingdom in the Leinster Province by defeating the 2 sons of 104.Ruadri, 105.Muiredach, and 105.Diarmait who was to later become the direct ancestor of the future Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Faelain Kings of Leinster. Although 105.Finsnechta became the King of Leinster again he was soon to die in 808 AD from a disease. Despite his previous personal aggressive behaviour his sister, 105.Muirenn had been the Abbess of Kildare and two of his brothers, nephews, and grand nephews, were all to be Abbots there throughout the 9th Century AD. Meanwhile there was also division and infighting going on among the Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Tuath / Family region - once again.

The Vikings raid the island of Iona / Island of Saints again between Ireland and Scotland this time killing 68 of the monks there.

807 AD The monastic community was now also slaughtered in Cork in Co. Cork in Southern Munster in a battle with the monastic community from Clonfert in Co. Galway in the south - west of Connacht.

The Vikings now began their raids into the Connacht Province, and in Co. Sligo there they raided and burnt the monastery on Inish Murray Island in the entrance to Donegal Bay, which brought the religious activities to an end there but the ruins of all the buildings are still there to see including the Church of St. Molaisse / Teampall Mo Laisse - who had been the founder, and the Church of Mary / Teampall Mhuire, which was a church for nuns. Roscam in Co. Galway in the south - west of Connacht also came under attack.

The monks at Iona were driven out temporarily, by the Vikings, from their island and they went to Kells / Ceanannus Mor / The Head Fort - in Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster, which had been used originally as a Royal residence for Centuries until it had been given over to 91.St.Columbcille / St. Columba by 90.Diarmait the 133rd King of Tara / Ireland to be used as a religious centre. Once in Kells they also built an Oratory 21 feet wide and 23 feet long with walls nearly 4 feet thick and roofed it in stone up to 38 feet above the ground to commemorate 91.St. Columbcille / St. Columba, and it still exists today. The Book of Kells, which is designated The Most beautiful Book in the World was also finalized there made up of 344 pages that include the Gospels in Latin together with local land covenants. It was originally encased in a golden shrine until it was to be stolen and found buried a few weeks later with the golden cover missing but the book itself still exists and can be viewed at the Trinity College in Dublin. Unfortunately like so many other Irish relicts the Crozier of Kells is still held in the British Museum.

The Book of Armagh, which was also written at this time by Ferdomnach, a monk from Armagh in the Ulster Province, is the only book containing the New Testament in Latin that has survived the ongoing turmoil over the centuries of oppression, and it also contains the Confessio of St. Patrick. It had been given over originally into the hands of it's Keepers - the Mac Moyre / Meic Maor Family until 1662 AD who had received a parcel of land on condition that they would be responsible for its safe keeping and protection and it too also can be viewed at the Trinity College in Dublin.

808 AD 101.Muirgius the Ui Briuin Siol Muiredaig 31st King of Connacht led his army to the Assembly ground at Tailtiu to support 99.Conor / Conchobar the "Southern" Ui Niaill Clann Cholmain 23rd King of Meath against 97.Aed "Oirdnide" the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 159th King of Ireland who attacked them instead and drove them off. 97.Aed " Oirdnide" from then on only attacked the territories east of the River Shannon raiding the borders of Meath and made no further effort to discipline 101.Muirgius who had entered the Midlands / Meath with ambition of becoming the overlord of Leth Cuinn / Conn's Half, which would have led onto the High Kingship of Tara. "For he who holds Tara holds Ireland."

105.Finsnechta "Cetharderc" the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Ui Dunchada 22nd King of Leinster, died of a disease, and he had been the son of 104.Kelly / Ceallach the previous 19th King of Leinster whose father, 103.Dunchad the 15th King of Leinster is the direct ancestor of the Ui Dunchada Sept. His son, 106.Faelan was to become the father of 107.Bran the future 25th King of Leinster, who would carry on the Ui Dunchada male line. There was now real trouble brewing among the Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Septs who also wanted to gain control there.

808 - 809 AD 97.Aed “Oirdnide“ the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 159thth King of Ireland besieged Southern Leinster once again but this time he was defeated on the banks of the River Liffey although he had already defeated the Septs in Ulaid and ravaged the north - east region there in the Ulster Province from the River Bann to Strangford Loch.

810 AD 100.Eochy / Eochaidh the Dal Fiatach 24th King of Ulaid in the north - east of Ulster, died, whose mother was Ablach an Ulster Princess. He was one of the 2 sons of 99.Fiachnae the previous 22nd King of Ulaid, one of the 2 sons of 98.Aed "Roin" the 19th King of Ulaid descended from 90.Forgg mac Dallain.

100.Carroll / Cairell became the Dal Fiatach 25th King of Ulaid in the north - east of Ulster Province, who was another of the 2 sons of 99.Fiachnae the previous 22nd King of Ulaid and another brother 100.Lynch / Loingsech was the Abbot of Armagh. Also his nephew 101.Diarmait was a leader of the reforming clerics the Cele De / Culdees / Servants of God - who had founded the monastery of Dysert Diarmait / Castledermot in Co Kildare in Central Southern Leinster on land donated by the Cu Corb Ui Bairrche King descended from 91.Daire "Barrach," one of the 9 sons of 90.Cahir / Cathair "Mor" the 109th King of Tara / Ireland.

102.Teague / Tadhg "Mor" and 102.Flaithnia, two of the sons of 101.Muirgius the Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muiredaig 31st King of Connacht were killed by the Cianachta Luigni Sept from Corran just north of Magh na Ai in the north of the Connacht Province so he laid waste to their territories. 102.Teague / Tadhg "Mor’s" son, 103.Conor / Conchobar would become the 38th King of Connacht and the direct ancestor of the O Conor / Ui Conchobair Septs who would continue to carry their male line right on down to 113.Conor / Conchobar "Maenmaige" O Connor the 57th and last King of Connacht who was to die in 1189 AD after the Anglo - Norman Invasion.
