721 AD The Battle of Druim Fornocht occurred between 96.Flaherty - Flaithbertach, the son of 95.Loingseach - Lynch the previous Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill 149th King of Ireland and the Cenel Conaill Sept against 96.Aedh "Allan" the 18th King of Ailech in Ulster, the son of 95.Fergal the Northern Ui Niall Cenel nEogain 151st King of Ireland and the Cenel nEogain Sept and 96.Aed "Allan" was defeated and some of his Chiefs were killed including Flann, the son of Erthaile, and Snedgus "Dearg" Ua Brachaidhe. 

      97.Eterscel the previous Eoghanacht Aine Ui Endae 17th King of Munster, died at Cashel, who was a son of 96.Mael " Umai," who was a son of 95.Cuan the previous12th King of Munster descended from 91.Ailill the direct ancestor of the Eoghanacht Aine Sept, a grandson of 89.Conall "Corc" descended from 85.Eoghan "Mor."

      99.Cathal the Eoghanacht Glendamnach 19th King of Cashel - Munster, was harrying the territory of the Southern Ui Niall in Brega, allied with 102.Murrough - Murchad the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 14th King of Leinster until 95.Fergal the Northern Ui Niall Cenel nEogain 151st King of Ireland submitted to him and they made peace. 

     The son of Talamnach mac Laidcind the previous Heremonian Corco Baiscind King in Co. Clare in the north - west of Munster was killed in a battle between the Corco Baiscind Sept and the 3 Connachta Septs due to the declining fortunes of the  Ui Fiachrach Aidni Sept 's authority into Thomond - North Munster.

He was a son of 94.Mael "Duin," the previous 14th King of Ailech, who had died in 681 AD, a grandson of 92.Aed "Uardidnach" the previous 140th King of Ireland. a son of 93.Mael "Fithrigh" descended from 87.Eogan. His Leinster opponents had been 103.Dunchad the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge Prince of Leinster, one of the 4 sons of 102.Murchad the present 14th King of Leinster, and 104.Aed the Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig Prince. a son of 103.Colgan - Colcu the King of Ardda Lathran in Co. Wexford in the south - east of Leinster. The Dal Cuinn Ui Niall Septs had 21,000 warriors and Leinster only 9,000 and among the Dal Cuinn who were killed was Conall "Mean" the Cenel Cairbre King, Forbassach the Cenel Boghaine King, Fearghal Ua Aitheachdae, Fearghal the son of Eochy - Eochaidh "Leamna" the Tamhnach King, Connalach the son of Conaing, and Egnech, the son of Colgan, the King of the Airthera Oriors, Coibhdeanach the son of Fiachra, Muirgius, the son of Conall, Leathaitheach, the son of Concarat, Anmchaid the son of Airthir - Concharat, Aedgen Ua Mathghamhnae, Nuada the son of Eirc, the King of Gull & Irgull, and ten descendants of 93.Mael "Fithrigh." Among those killed from Leinster were Flann, a son of Reilly - Raghallach, Aileall a son of Fearadhach, Suibhne, a son of Congalach, Aedh "Laighean" Ua Cearnaigh, Nia a son of Cormac, Dubh "Dachrich" the son of Dubh "Dainbher," Aileall the son of Conall "Grant," Flaitheamhail, the son of Dluthach, Feargus Ua Eogain. All up 7,000 were killed in the battle on both sides.

       95.Fogartach the Southern Ui Niall Sil nAedo Slaine 14th King of Brega became the 152nd King of Ireland, who was a son of 94.Niall of Lagore - South Brega, a son of 93.Cearnach "Sotal," the son of 92.Diarmait the previous 145th joint King of Ireland, one of the 5 sons of 91.Aed "Slaine" the previous 145th King of Ireland descended from 88.Conall "Cremthainne."

      103.Colgan - Colcu the Ui Cheinnselaig King of Ardda Lathran - Ladrann near Gorey in Co. Wexford in the south - east of Leinster, died, who was a son of 102.Bressal, a son of 101.Fiachra, one of the 2 sons of 100.Crundmael the previous 9a King of Leinster, a son of 99.Ronan the 8th King of Leinster ? descended from 94.Enda "Cennsalach" the Cu Corb 2nd King of Leinster. He was to become the father of 104.Aed mac Colgain the future 17a King of Leinster.

723 AD 98.Indrechtach the previous Ui Briuin Ai Siol Muiredaig 21st King of Connacht, died peacefully at Clonmacnoise in Co. Offaly in mid - western Leinster who had assisted the Ui Briuin Septs in the south of Connacht. He was one of the 2 sons of 97.Muiredach "Muillethan" who died in 702 AD the direct ancestor of the Siol Muiredaig - Sil Murray Sept descended from 87.Brion. 

      The Ui Ailello Sept descended directly from 87.Ailill the brother to 87.Fiachra & 87.Brion in the north of Magh nAi in Connacht who were originally one of the 3 Connachta Septs were still in the decline and this also gave further impetus to the growing strength of the other Ui Briuin Septs descended from 87.Brion.   

     99.Cathal who would be the Eoghanacht Glendamnach 19th King of Munster until 742 AD tried to restrict the Ui Niall Septs to Conn's Half -  Leth Cuinn in Northern Leinster attempting to stop them from achieving their ambition of totally gaining the High Kingship of Ireland.

724 AD 95.Fogartach the Southern Ui Niall Sil nAedo Slaine 152nd King of Ireland was killed in the Battle of Delgean by 95.Kenneth - Cinaeth a Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill Prince. 95.Fogartach had been a son of 94.Niall the direct ancestor of the Kings of Lagore - South Brega and a grandson of 92.Diarmait the previous 145th joint King of Ireland, a son of 91.Aed "Slaine" the 139th joint King of Ireland, the son of 90.Diarmait mac Cerbaill the 133rd King of Ireland. This was to be the end of his male line to the Kingship from 88.Conall "Cremthainne."

      95.Kenneth - Cinaeth - Cinaed became the Southern Ui Niall Sil nAedo Slaine 153rd King of Ireland, who was a son of 94.Irgalach the previous 11th King of Brega, one of the 2 sons of 93.Conaing "Cuirrc," a son of 92.Congal the 3rd King of Brega, one of the 5 sons of 91.Aed "Slaine" the 139th joint King of Ireland descended from 87.Conall "Cremthainne." 95.Kenneth - Cinaeth the Southern Ui Niall Sil nAedo Slaine 153rd King of Ireland was to gain control also over the Ulster Province.

727 AD 102.Murrough - Murchad the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 14th King of Leinster, died, who was the son of 101.Bran "Mut" the previous 12th King of Leinster, whose father was 100.Conall, the son of 99.Faelan the 10th King of Leinster who had died in 666 AD and who was descended from 94.Dunlaing the direct ancestor of the Ui Dunlainge Sept. 102.Murrough - Murchad was to be the father of 4 sons who would all be Kings of Leinster in succession.

727 - 8 AD The Battle of Magh Itha occurred between the sons of 95.Loingseach - Lynch the previous Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill 149th King of Ireland and the sons of 95.Fergal - Fearghal mac Maele Duin the previous Northern Ui Niall Cenel nEogain 151st King of Ireland and many from the Cenel nEogain Sept were killed when 96.Aed "Allan" the Northern Ui Niall Cenel nEogain 18th King of Ailech in Northern Ulster, the son of 95.Fergal, went up against the Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill Sept and Conaing, the son of Congal, was among those who were slain from the Cenel nEogain Sept.

728 AD 94.Kenneth - Cinaeth the Southern Ui Niall Sil nAedo Slaine 153rd King of Ireland was killed in the Battle of Druim Corcrain by 96.Flaherty - Flaithbertach, the son of 95.Loingseach the previous Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill 149th King of Ireland. 94.Kenneth had been a son of 93.Irgalach, the son of 93.Conaing "Cuirrc, a son of 92.Congal one of the 5 sons of 91.Aed "Slaine" the 139th King of Ireland descended from 88.Conall "Cremthainne," and he would be the last of his particular male line to have access to the Kingship for nearly 200 years.

       96.Flaherty - Flaithbertach became the Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill 154th King of Ireland, who was a son of 95.Loingsech - Lynch the previous 149th King of Ireland, a son of 94.Angus - Oengus, one of the 2 sons of 93.Donnell - Domnall mac Aedo the 143rd King of Ireland descended from 88.Conal "Gulban." 96.Flaherty immediately sent off to Dal Riada for their fleet to come to Ireland and they arrived in Inis hOinae. A battle began between the followers of 96.Flaherty and the Cianachta Sept - Keenaught in north - east Ulster and others from the Ulaid Septs in north - east Ulster and the Cenel nEogain Sept, and a great number of the Cenel  nEogain, Cianachta & Ulidians were cut off  together with Conchobar  the son of Loichene, and Bran "Dubh" the son of Bran. Many were drowned in the River Branna and they were defeated and although 96.Flaherty was to reign until 734 AD he was to fail to maintain the authority of the Cenel Conaill Sept against the interests of the Cenel nEogain Sept who were now under the leadership of 96.Aed "Allen" the 18th King of Aileach in Northern Ulster who was a son of 95.Fergal mac Maele Duin the previous 149th King of Ireland.

      Tailech the King of the Luigni Sept, a son of Cenn "Faelad," died this year and Rechtabra the Ui Thuirtre King, died also this year who was a grandson of Cathasach. 

      The Southern Ui Niall by now had basically consolidated into 2 separate dynasties from 2 of the sons of 91.Aed "Slaine" the previous 139th joint King of Ireland descending from 87.Conall "Cremthainne" one of the 8 sons of 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages the 126th High King of Tara - Ireland in the late 4th Century AD who is the direct ancestor of all the Ui Niall Septs. Both of their territories were in the Midlands - Mide - Meath in Northern Leinster where the Sil n Aedo Slaine Sept - Seed of 91.Aed of Slaine - were the Kings of Brega in the north - east of Meath and the Clann Cholmain Sept - Children of 91.Colman "Mor "- had their main territory in Co. Westmeath in the west of Meath. From 598 AD to 728 AD the Sil n Aedo Slaine Sept had previously been the one to provide the Southern Ui Niall Kings of Ireland. With the previous demise of 95.Kenneth - Cinaed the Southern Ui Niall Sil nAedo Slaine 153rd King of Ireland this year emanating from 91.Aed "Slaine," the Clann Cholmain Sept would shortly begin to come into its own. From now on all of the Southern Ui Niall Kings were to come from the male line of 92.Colman "Mor" except for much later on in 944 AD to 956 AD when 101.Congalach "Cnogba" - of Knowth - the King of Knowth was to successfully restore the Kingship of Ireland to the Sil nAedo Slaine Sept in Brega for the very last time when he would then become the Sil nAedo Slaine 167th King of Ireland.

      97.Donnell - Domnall the Ui Briuin Ai 22nd King of Connacht, died, who was a son of 96.Kelly - Ceallach the previous 19th King of Connacht, one of the 3 sons of 95.Reilly - Ragallach the 12th King of Connacht who was the direct ancestor of the Ui Briuin Ai Sept descended from 87.Brion. 97.Donnell's son, 98.Flaithri was to become the future 29th King of Connacht .

     103.Dunchad the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 15th King of Leinster, died, who was one of the 4 sons of 102.Murrough - Murchad the previous 14th King of Leinster, the son of 101.Bran "Mut" the 12th King of Leinster descended from 94.Dunlaing the direct ancestor of the Ui Dunlainge Sept descended from 86.Cu "Corb." 103.Dunchad would become the direct ancestor of the Ui Dunchada Sept as his son,104.Kelly - Ceallach would become the 19th King of Leinster. The Ui Dunchada were to later on adopt the surname of mac Gilla Mo - Cholmoc and in 1170 AD because of their location in Leinster were to side with the Anglo - Normans after the Invasion and battle in Dublin and take up the Norman name of Fitz Dermot.

    103.Faelan became the Cu Corb Ui Dunlainge 16th King of Leinster, who was another son also of 102.Murrough - Murchad the previous 14th King of Leinster and he was a brother to 103.Dunchad the previous 15th King of Leinster.

729 AD Angus - Oengus who was the the King of the Picts allied with the Angles in the Highlands of Scotland and attacked the Scottii in Dal Riada capturing Dunadd and Dunolly and drowned the King of Dal Riada and over the next 10 years they were to subject the Heremonian Septs in Dal Riada descended from 69.Conaire 11 the 111th King of Tara - Ireland.

730 AD The Battle of Bealach Ele occurred between 99.Cathal the Eoghanacht Glendamnach 19th King of Munster and the men of Southern Leinster and many from Leinster were killed including Kelly - Ceallach the Cu Corb Dal Messin Corb Ui Garrchon King of Ossory in Co. Kilkenny in south - west Leinster, who was a son of Faelchair and two of the sons of Cormac the Deisi King, a son of Rossa and 3,000 others along with them. Kelly's death ended This was to be the end of the Cu Corb Dal Messin Corb Ui Garrchon Sept's male line to the Kingship of Ossory.

    *Forbasach, who was a son of Ailill, became the new King of Ossory, in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Leinster until 735 AD. 

      The Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary in north - east Munster now became the Royal Fortress of the Kings of Cashel - Munster and as they were also Bishops they wrote up the Book of Rights - Brehon Laws. (At this time a Bishop was equal to a King of a Tuatha - Family region.)

      95.Airechtach the Northern Ui Fiachrach Muaide King, died, who was a grandson of 93.Dunchad "Muirisci," the previous 16th King of Connacht, descended from 89.Fiachnae the direct ancestor of the Ui Fiachrach Muaide Sept who was one of the 3 sons of 88.Nathi the 127th King of Tara - Ireland, the son of 87.Fiachra the direct ancestor of the Ui Fiachrach Sept.
