Cork in Southern Munster.  St. Carthy / Carthach founded a monastery at Rahan in Co. Offaly in north - west of Southern Leinster, which has since been obliterated but the ruins of 2 churches built there later on in the 12th Century AD are still in existence there to be seen. An Oratory for St. Malachy was built in Ferns in Co. Wexford in the south - east of Southern Leinster and St. Munro / St. Munna founded a monastery at Taghmon and it became part of the Abbey of Ferns there in Wexford City of which little also remains.

590 - 3 AD 95.Felim / Feidhlimidh, the Heberian Eoghanacht Raithlind Cenel nAedo 8a King of Cashel / Munster, died, during this period who was from the Desmuma / Southern Munster, and had been a son of 94.Tierney / Tigernach, whose father was 93.Aed "Ualgarb" the direct ancestor of the Cenel nAedo Sept, descended from 90.Mac Cass one of the 7 sons of 89.Conall "Corc" the 1st King of Cashel / /Munster.

595 AD The Great School / University at Armagh in the south - east of Ulster Province was one of the most celebrated in Ireland at this time with one of it's sections known as the Trian - Saxon / Saxon's Third and there were over 3,000 students attending with many from Albion / Briton.

597 AD Brenainn the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Maine King, died, who was the son of Cairbre / Coirpre, the son of Fechine.

91.St. Columbcille attended the Assembly / Oenach of all the Kings of Ireland at Droim Ceata under the auspices of his kinsmen, 92.Aed mac Ainmerech the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 138th King of Ireland and he was able to save the poets / fili who were threatened with banishment because of their costs, their intolerable arrogance, and their unsettling satire. 95.Fiachnae "Lurgan" mac Baetain the Irian 7th King of the Dal nAraidi who would become the 9th King of Ulaid was another who also supported the poets in this instance against the wishes of 92.Aed mac Ainmerech. 89.Aedan mac Gabhrain the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Conaire Scottii King of Dal Riata, whose main territory was now in the Scottish Highlands was also in attendance with 91.St. Columbcille, and he agreed with 92.Aed mac Ainmerech to an alliance against 93.Baetan mac Carroll / Cairell the Dal Fiatach 7th King of Ulaid whose territory also was in the east of the Ulster Province. The part of the kingdom of Dal Riada that was still situated in the north - east of Ulster was to be subject to 92.Aed mac Ainmerech as the 138th King of Ireland but the territory in the Scottish Highlands was to remain independent, except to serve 92.Aed mac Ainmerech with his fleet.

91.St. Columbcille / St. Columba, (521 AD - 597 AD) died at the age of 75 years on the Island of Iona / Holy Island and his body was brought back to Ireland to be buried in St. Columba’s Bed under a stone slab at Glen Columbcille (The Valley of Columbcille) in Co. Donegal in the far - west of the Ulster Province where there also still is his Holy Well and his Oratory (19' x 11') where the altar still remans in existence to be seen. 91.St.Columbcille was originally trained as a poet / fili himself and as he had defended them against the previous Assembly / Oenach held by 92.Aed mac Ainmerech, he was to be eulogised by the leading poet of his time in Dallan "Forgaill" who composed the Song of Columbcille / Amra Coluim Cille and Onan / Adomnan the Abbot of Iona became his biographer. 91.St. Columbcille left behind a legacy of over 90 diocese / paruchia in Ireland and the Scottish Highlands and also had a monastery and diocese in the north of England were the Northumbrian people were Hiberno / Saxons, which made Iona important also as a political base. (This was the same year that St. Augustine / St. Austin went into Kent.)

598 AD The Battle of Echros in Muirisci in the north of Connacht Province occurred this year when Colman the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Niaill Cenel Cairbre King came up against 93.Mael “Cothaid / 93.Donn "Cothaid" the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Ui Fiachrach Fir Chera 10th King of Connacht who had their territory at Muirisci, who was defeated.

92.Aed mac Ainmerech the "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 138th King of Ireland and his son, 93.Cummascach had gone on a circuit to show his overall authority and 93.Cummasach was killed by 99.Bran “Dubh” / of Dark Complexion the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Cu Corb Ui Cheinnselaig 7th King of Leinster. In retaliation and to collect the ongoing obnoxious tribute, 92.Aed mac Ainmerech was to lay siege to Southern Leinster this year. Despite this 99.Bran “Dubh” was able to defeat him in the Battle of Dun Bolg near Baltinglass / Belach Conglais in Co. Wicklow in the south - east of Southern Leinster and Becc mac Cuanaich the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn 3 Colla Mac Uais King of Orghialla / Airghialla / Oriel in Southern Ulster was to be killed while supporting him. 99.Bran "Dubh's" man, Ron "Cerr" was able to gain entry into the campsite, of 92.Aed mac Ainmerech, disguised as a leper with a wooden leg and physically attacked 92.Aed and cut off his head and with his sudden demise this brought an end any further idea of any further Ui Niaill expansion into the territory there in Southern Leinster. The Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Cenel Conaill male line from 92.Aed mac Ainmerech was to continue on through 2 of his other sons, 93.Mael "Cobo” who would become the future 141st King of Ireland and 93.Donnell / Domhnall mac Aedo who would become the 143rd King of Ireland in his turn after him.

With the death of 92.Aed mac Ainmerech the Battle of Sleamhain among the Ui Niaill now occurred in Meath / Mide in Northern Leinster over sovereignty between 92.Colman "Rimid" the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 7th King of Aileach who came up against 93.Conall "Cu," another of the sons of 92.Aedh mac Ainmerech the previous "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 138th King of Ireland and 93.Conall "Cu" was defeated.

91.Aed "Slaine" from the "Southern" Ui Niaill and 92.Colman "Rimid" from the "Northern" Ui Niaill became the joint 139th Kings of Ireland. 91.Aed "Slaine" had previously been the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Niaill 1st King of Brega in the south - east of Northern Leinster, who was one of the 3 sons of 90.Diarmait mac Carroll the previous 133rd King of Tara / Ireland. 92.Colman "Rimid" had been the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 7th King of Aileach in the north - east of the Ulster Province, who was the son of 91.Baetan mac Muirchertaig the previous 136th King of Ireland. 91.Aed "Slaine" was to rule over his territory for 4 years and 3 months during which time he was to hold a Council of Irish Kings and Irish Abbots at Drumceat in Co. Derry in the north - east of Ulster.

599 AD The Celtic Catholic Church by now was well established throughout Ireland and the ties to kinship in all the Tuaths / Family regions were still very strong and for any Irishman to go abroad and leave his Family and his homeland land was a great sacrifice as to the Celtic Irish it really meant "exile." It was the thought of self - sacrifice, rather then any missionary zeal that drove them on to make what they considered was the ultimate sacrifice, as to leave Ireland was considered worse then death itself. To this end St. Cuthbert also decided to go into exile in Albion / Briton to spread the Christian Gospels from his homeland of Scotia / Ireland.

During this Century also St. Loman from the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn 3 Colla Sept founded a monastery on Church Island in Loch Gill / Bright in Co. Sligo in the north - west of the Connacht Province.

The Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Maine Sept in the Connacht Province were now to be cut off from the east of the River Shannon area by the further expansion of the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Niaill in that region doing there own thing and going their own way.

Many of the Irish Celts had still remained hostile to the inroads of Christianity during the 5th and into the 6th Century AD, especially the druids, the poets and the lawyers who were all threatened by it, but as time was to elapse the fusion of the Gaelic and Latin cultures would firmly continue to lay down the continuing basis of the Irish Celtic Catholic Church.
