                                                              560 AD - 569 AD

560 AD Daman - Davan aka Cairbre "Damargait, the Heremonian Dal Cuinn 3 Colla King of Orghialla - Airghialla - Oriel in Southern Ulster, died, who is the ancestor of many Septs there in Southern Ulster & Co. Louth in the north - east of Leinster.

91.St. Columbcille - Columba founded the monastery at the town of Swords - Sord Columbcille - The Well of the Dove of the Church’s pure water - this year in Co. Dublin in mid - central Leinster but it is no longer in existence.

St. Brendan founded the monastery at Clonfert - The Meadow of the Grave - Cluain Fearta - in Co. Galway in south - west Connacht and went on an expedition - imramha by sea.

561 AD 90.Ninnid mac Duach from the Cenel Conaill Sept, in Tyrconnell in north - west Ulster, died, who was the son of 89.Daui, the son of 88.Conall "Gulban" one of the 8 sons of 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages and the direct ancestor of the Cenel Conaill Septs. He had fought in the battle of Cul Dreimhne - Cooldrumman against 90.Diarmait mac Carroll the 133rd King of Tara - Ireland and his line was to be continued on by his son, 91.Baetan mac Ninnedo who later on would become the Northern Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill 137th King of Ireland.

Fintan who was to also be of a very great age, died this year who was from Doone & Coone in Co. Limerick in north - west Munster.

563 AD St. Columbcille - The Dove of the Church - was advised by St. Molaisse of Devenish to depart for Iona - Holy Island situated off the Northumbrian coast in between Ireland and the Scottish Highlands from were he was to settle his religious community to spread Christianity back into Albion - Briton. Now 42 years of age he was to leave with 12 of his disciples, and eventually his Carthach - composed of the Vulgate of St. Jerome - was to become the talisman of his kinsmen the Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill O Donnells who were to carry it with them into battle for Centuries. Crossing over into the Heremonian kingdom of Dal Riada - riata he was to stay there for 36 years and serve in the Scottish Highlands to convert the Cruthin Gaelic Picts. On his arrival into Albany he was to consecrate his Heremonian kinsmen, 89.Aedan, a son of 88.Gabhran, the previous King & Bishop of Dal Riada descended from 70.Cairbre "Riada," as the first consecration of a Celtic King took place in either Ireland or Scotland and he was to become the ancestor of the Gaelic Kings of Scotland. It was then from Dal Riada that the Kindred of the Ui Columbcille further endeavoured to spread Christianity, first among the Cruthin Gaelic Picts, then back into Albion - Briton and then into Europe and during this period many of the members of the Septs associated with the Kindred were to be buried on the holy island of Iona between Ireland and the Scottish Highlands. Bruide mac Maelchon the King of the Gaelic Picts 556 AD - 584 AD had his seat where the River Ness joined in with the Moray Firth, near the hill fort of Craig Phadraig - Patrick's Rock and 91.St. Columbcille went there through the Firth of Lorn, the Great Glen and Loch Ness where he was greeted with contempt at first by Bruide. The Druids - magi there were also totally against him especially Broichan, who was the main Druid - magus to Bruide - Bridei, who 91.St. Columbcille had to engage in contests with along with many of the other Druids there in which he was to be successful and when Broichan himself was also taken ill 91.St. Columbcille was able to cure him and he was to gain safe conduct for his Christian monks travelling throughout Bruide's territory. The Gaelic Picts worshipped at a particular fountain, drinking and bathing in its waters, which they believed assisted them with leprosy or loss of sight, so St. Columbcille was to bless this well for Christianity along with over 300 others in the Scottish Highlands. (89.Aedan was to eventually lead a combined army of warriors of Scottii & Britons.) Bruide - Bridei the King of the Cruthin Gaelic Picts descended from Welsh Princes during this brief union was to be converted by 91.St. Columbcille but was eventually to be killed by the Southern Cruthin Picts. The Picts - painted people - who were also of Scythian ancestry were to have seven divisions of their own in the Scottish Highlands, Caith - Caithness and Sunderland, Fidach - Ross & Moray, Fodhla - Athol, Fortremn - West Perthshire, Ce - Mar and Buchan, Ciric - Mearns and Fibh - Fife. The Moneymusk Reliquary casket, which it was believed contained the relics of 91.St. Columbcille was to be carried before the Scottii into battle and within 100 years the Picts were all to be converted to Christianity.

563 AD 90.Diarmait mac Carroll the Southern Ui Niall 133rd King of Tara - Ireland took no part in the Battle of Moin Daire Lothair in Ulster Province when the Northern Ui Niaill crushed the Irian Dal nAraidi Sept west of the River Bann and expanded their Heremonian territory into Co. Derry in Northern Ulster where 7 of the Irian Dal nAraidi Kings were killed in the battle while another, Eochy - Eochaidh "Laeb" was able to escape in his chariot.

565 AD 90.Diarmait mac Carroll the Southern Ui Niaill 133rd King of Tara - Ireland besieged the monastery at Lorrha, which was situated on the Munster border under the care of St. Ruadan - Rowan who was from the Heberian Eoghanachta Sept who was already hostile to the Southern Ui Niaill. 90.Diarmot seized Aed "Guarie" a Prince of the Ui Maine Sept in Connacht who had been seeking sanctuary there and had him put to death and St. Ruadan had St. Brendan of Birr and some of the other monks, retaliate with a fast against 90.Diarmot outside of his fortress at Tara were they also put a curse on him. To try and counteract any effects their fast might produce 90.Diarmait carried out one of his own also so St. Ruadan then had one of his own followers dress to look like him who then made sure that 90.Diarmait was able to see him having a meal and 90.Diarmait then broke his own fast by doing the same. St. Ruadan then placed a curse not only on 90.Diarmait but also on the royal fortress at Tara, which later became grass grown - fuit Iliium - in future times were the original rath - fort of 88.Laoghaire the Southern Ui Niall 129th King of Tara - Ireland one of the 8 sons of 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages now lies in ruins.

The prophet Becc mac De had foretold that 93.Aed "Dubh" - of Dark Complexion an Irian Dal nAraidi Prince, who was a son of 92.Sweeney - Suibhne “nAraide,” a grandson of 90.Crond "Ba Drui," who had been fostered by 90.Diarmot mac Carroll the Southern Ui Niall 133rd King at Tara - Ireland, would eventually kill 90.Diarmot and because of this prophesy 90.Diarmait had banished the young Dal nAraidi Prince, from Ireland. Meanwhile St. Ruadan had also predicted that a ridge pole in his roof would fall on 90.Diarmait so he had it removed and thrown into the sea. 90.Diarmait then sought the assistance of his Druids and travelled around Ireland going from Tara in Northern Leinster to Southern Leinster, Munster, Connacht and then up to Ulster were all these things were to come to pass. 90.Diarmait was staying there with Banban at Rath Bec - Beag - The Small Ring Fort - in Magh Line between Raith Mor, which was the chief Royal seat of the Dal nAraidi Sept a few miles east of what is now Antrim town. During the feasting Banban informed 90.Diarmait that he had only built this particular house because he had found it's ridge pole in the sea and as he finished speaking 93.Aed "Dubh" mac Sweeney came in and speared him. As 90.Diarmait fell to the ground he reached out for something to hold onto and the roof caved in and the beam came down and hit him on the head and he died although he had surrounded himself with Druids, it had done him no good in the end. The Southern Ui Niaill Siol nAedo Slaine Sept and the Clann Cholmain Sept where to be his descendents from two of his sons, 91.Aed "Slaine" and 91.Colmain "Mor” respectively while his other son, 91.Colman "Bec" is the direct ancestor of the Caille Follamain Sept who ruled over the territory around Fore between Meath & Brega in the north - east of Leinster. Mugain the second wife of 90.Diarmait mac Carroll had been  humiliated by his chief wife, Eithne who was the mother of his older sons, and she had been cured by St. Finnian of Mag Bile of her barrenness and had given birth to 91.Aed "Slaine." She was the daughter of Conchrad mac Duach from the Ui Duach Sept in the Heremonian Connla kingdom of Ossory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Leinster.

90.Diarmait's head was taken to the Clonmacnoise monastery in Co. Offaly in mid - western Leinster and interred there and his body interred at Connor in Co. Antrim in north - east Ulster. Of his 3 sons, 91.Colman "Mor" the direct ancestor of the Clann Cholmain Sept and especially 91.Aed "Slaine" the direct ancestor of the Siol nAedo Slaine Sept would carry the Southern Ui Niall Kingship of Ireland forward until the end. His other son, 91.Colman "Bec" the direct ancestor of the Caille Follamain Sept  would not produce any Kings of Ireland.

From this time on the Heremonian Dal Cuinn Southern & Northern Ui Niaill were to keep the title of King of Tara purely for prestige reasons as the Heremonian Cu Corb Leinster Septs still also laid claim to the title but the Ui Niaill had by now become more dominant during their many battles and expanded their grip on it, as no one - individual from the Cu Corb Septs was now able to completely dominate all of the Leinster Septs. Instead the 2  more dominant Cu Corb Septs, of the Ui Cheinnselaig & Ui Dunlainge, were to share the Kingship of Leinster up until the early 8th Century AD, and the Ui Dunlainge Sept  from then was to hold it exclusively until 1042 AD. The Ui Cheinnselaig Sept were then to regain the upper hand under 110.Diarmait mac Mael na mBo - of the Cattle - who was to become the 51st King of Leinster and this unfortunately then led on to 113.Diarmait mac Murrough na Gall - of the Foreigners - the last King of Leinster who was to bring on the Anglo - Norman Invasion.

Meanwhile the Dal Cuinn Kingship of Connacht west of the River Shannon alternated between the Ui Briuin Septs and two of the branches of the Ui Fiachrach Sept with the Ui Briuin eventually becoming predominant when the Ui Briuin Ai - Ui Muiredaig - Ui Conchobair - O Connors came to the fore later on producing 111.Turlough O Connor the 48th King of Ireland and also the last King of Ireland, 112.Rory O Connor who was to be deposed in 1186 AD after the Anglo - Norman invasion.

Tara in Co. Meath in the north - east of Leinster from now on it was to be virtually abandoned as the Royal seat of the Irish Kings and there are now only the remains of the oval shaped Rath na Riogh - Fort of the Kings - there, which was the largest being 980’ x 800’ with the Forradh - Teach Cormaic - Cormac's House - inside of it. (The earthen works of the Forradh is all that is left at Tara to day.) On the site of the Teach Cormaic - Cormac's House - is the relocated standing Lia Fail Stone the Crowning Stone of the Kings of Ireland. Originally brought into Ireland by the Tuatha de Danann it was eventually put in its present position to mark the graves of those who were killed in the Irish Insurrection in 1798 AD to commemorate the deaths there of the United Irishmen, against the continuing ethnic oppression and religious repression of those in charge in England. It was initially situated on The Mound of the Hostages - Duma na nGiall - further to the north. The Rath na Seanaid - Synod is situated on the highest part of Tara north of Rath na Riogh were it was destroyed in the late 19th Century AD by some people seeking the Ark of the Covenant. The Teach Miodhchuarta - Banqueting Hall - was 750' x 90' and was made up of 2 long parallel banks described in the Book of Leinster and also in the 15th Century AD in the Yellow Book of Lecan written by the Mac Firbishes of Connacht. The Rath Grainne is north - west of the Teach Miodhchuarta and is named after 83.Grainne - Grace the daughter of 82.Cormac mac Airt the Heremonian Dal Cuinn 115th King of Tara - Ireland and is also possibly a burial ground while nearby there are 2 Claoin Fearta - sloping trenches - on the hill side, which also may have been burial sites. Situated in the churchyard are 2 x Standing Stones, one is of limestone with a rounded top while the other is Adomnan's Stone, which is 5 1/2' above the ground level with a relief cut into it of Cernunnos the horned god of the Celts. South of Tara is Rath Medb, which is a hill fort surrounded by a single bank 750' in diameter. All of these constructions on Tara are known as the Dinnshenchas.

St. Coman during this period was the Abbot at the monastery in Co. Roscommon in Eastern Connacht, which later on was taken over by the Augustine Order and St. Canice - Cainnech - Kenny also founded a monastery in Co. Carlow in Southern Leinster on the river bank, which would eventually become the residence of the Heremonian Connla Kings of Ossory.

St. Kevin - Caemgen, died, at the Inish Cealtra Island monastery in Co. Clare in the north - west of Munster were there still exists the ruins of 5 Churches and he was eventually buried in the Church of Our Lady at Glendalough in Co. Wicklow in the south - east of Leinster where there were 9 Churches originally constructed on the site. Initially he had a small hermitage at Holly Wood in Co. Wicklow were he was besieged by so many disciples that he left for Glendalough but still more followed him there also and he was then forced to set up a monastic community there and be their Abbot. Despite all of these mass followers there were still hermits with individual cells in among these communities.

91.Colman "Bec," one of the 3 sons of 90.Diarmait mac Carroll the previous 133rd King of Tara - Ireland, and who was to become the direct ancestor of the Southern Ui Niall Caille Follamain Sept, and Conall mac Comghaill the King of Dal Riada went on an expedition with a fleet of ships to the Western Isles of Sol & Ile in the Hebrides where they carried off many spoils.

91.St. Columbcille began to spread Christianity further in the Scottish Islands, Lowlands and in the north - east of Albion - Briton and his actions as an envoy created peace for 34 years between the Celtic Picts, the Celtic Milesian Gaelic Scots, the Celtic Milesian Gaelic Irish and the Teutonic Angles until his death. 91.St. Columbcille had initially wanted to choose 89.Aedan’s brother, 89.Eoganan instead for the position as the King of Dal Riada but had a divine revelation instead to choose 89,Aedan. His monks continued his work all over Albion - Briton including Strathclyde, to the Picts in the north, the kingdom of the Angles in Northumbria, and they founded the Celtic Catholic Scottish Church, which was monastic in form. (Monasticism had originated in the East and had spread throughout Ireland without any Roman influence.) Another Aedan who was a missionary was sent from Iona to the north of Briton - Albion to spread Christianity there where he founded the Abbey at Lindisfarne.

565 AD 91.Donnel - Domnall "Ilchelgach" and his brother, 91.Forggus - Fergus mac Muirchertaig the joint 4th Kings of Aileach in Northern Ulster from the Northern Ui Niall Cenel nEogain Sept became the joint 134th Kings of Ireland who were 2 of the 3 sons of 90.Murtough mac Ercae the previous 131st King of Tara - Ireland and both had been among the Northern Ui Niall victors from the battle of Cuil Dreimne - Cooldrumman against 90.Diarmait mac Carroll the 133rd King of Tara - Ireland but they were only to rule at Tara for a year.

The Gaelic Heremonian Leinster Celts and the Gaelic Irian Celts of Ulaid in north - east Ulster had not as yet submitted to the Ui Niall Septs and the Gaelic Heberian Munster Celts were not involved in Northern affairs at this time.

566 AD  91.Fergus & 91.Donnell "Ilchelgach" mac Muirchertaig the joint Northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain 134th Kings of Ireland, both died this year, who were 2 of the 3 sons of 90.Murtough - Muirchertach mac Ercae the previous 131st King of Tara - Ireland. 91.Donnell's individual male line was to continue on to 108.Murtough - Muirchertach Mac Lochlainn the future Northern Ui Niaill 55th / 57th King of Aileach & 174th King of Ireland who would die in 1166 AD 3 years prior to the Anglo - Norman Invasion. His brother, 91.Fergus - Forggus left no issue to the Kingship.

91.Ainmere became the first from the Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill Sept to become the 135th King of Ireland who was a son of 90.Seadna - Setnae, a son of 89.Fergus "Cendfota," one of the 2 sons of 87.Conall "Gulban" the direct ancestor of the Cenel Conaill Septs who had been one of the 8 sons of 87.Niall of the Nine Hostages the direct ancestor of all the Ui Niall Septs.

569 AD 91.Ainmere the Northern Ui Niall Cenel Conaill 135th King of Ireland was killed by Fergus, the son of Nellin, but his male line was to continue on until 96.Flaherty - Flaithbertach was to be the last as the 29th King of Ireland who was to abdicate in 734 AD and die in 765 AD.

92.Eochy - Eochaidh the joint 5th King of Aileach in Northern Ulster became the Northern Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain joint 136th King of Ireland who was a son of 91.Domnall "Ilchelgach," the previous joint 134th King of Ireland, as he shared the Kingship with his uncle, 91.Baetan mac Muirchertaig who was also the joint 5th King of Aileach who was another of the 3 sons of 90.Murtough mac Ercae the previous 131st King of Tara - Ireland.
