                                                                                      1951 - 1954

1951 In the Irish Republic the population was now 2,960,593, and in the 6 Counties Artificially Partitioned from the 9 in the Ulster Province by the British Government the population was now 1,370,921.  - The Abbey Theatre, in Dublin, which had previously been a morgue was burnt down.

The Irish Government, and the Official Unionist Stormont Government in the 6 Counties Artificially Partitioned from the 9 in the Ulster Province took over joint control of the Great Northern Railway linking Belfast in Co. Antrim in Ulster and Dublin in the north - east of Southern Lenster.

May: In the Irish Republic, the Fine Gael Coalition Government in Ireland now split up over their various differences, and also because of the Health Maternity Scheme introduced by their Health Minister, Dr. Noel Browne. A General Election was held, and the Clann na Poblachta Party, founded by Sean Mac Bride, had run it's race and was decimated in the election, while the Fianna Fail Party of Eamonn de Valera regained some seats, but not an overall majority, and although in the minority, with independent support, they were to regain control of the Irish Republic Government for another 3 years.

Eamonn de Valera, the leader of the Fianna Fail Party, once again became the Taoiseach / Prime Minister of the Irish Republic until 1954, Frank Aiken was to be the Minister of Agriculture also until 1954 and was then to become the Minister of External Affairs, which he was to retain until his retirement in 1969. Sean Mac Entee, became the Minister of Finance, and there was also a new face in Jack Lynch, who was destined to become the Prime Minister / Taoiseach in the future, and Sean Lemass became the Parliamentary Secretary. Eamonn de Valera's eyesight was becoming more and more a problem to him, until he basically was to go blind, but still continued on in the office.

September: Charles Haughey  / Cathal O hEachaidh, who was to become a future Prime Minister of Ireland also married Maureen Lemass the daughter of Sean Lemass who also was to become a future Irish Prime Minister / Taoiseach after the retirement of Eamonn de Valera. - This year, Ernest Walton  won the Nobel Peace Prize for Physics.  -  Christhoir O Neill declared at the IRA service at Bodenstown, that they would no longer use force against the Irish Republic Government, but would continue their commitment in the 6 Counties Artificially Partitioned from the 9 in the Ulster Province, by the British Government, for their return to a United Ireland.

In the 6 Counties, Artificially Partitioned from the 9 in the Ulster Province, which were still under the control of the British Government,  the Reverend Ian Kyle Paisley had been born in Co. Antrim in the north - east of Ulster, whose father was a Baptist minister, he studied in Wales, and eventually purchased his own doctorate from the Jones College in America for 20 dollars. He went on to preach pure base Ethnic and Religious intolerance in the name of God, and through his words and actions he was to create bloodshed, murder and mayhem throughout these 6 Counties, in Ulster. During this year, he was to form his own Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster, which had no connection with the actual Presbyterian Church movement in the British Isles. He went about preaching that the Catholic Pope was trying to rule Ireland, and although he was cunning, devious and catered to the most base elements of human kind, and the fact that he was to be behind many horrific events, he was in no way mentally deranged, just devious, and at this time built up an initial following of 1,000 members. Things from now on were to get even worse for the Irish Catholics there in their own 6 Counties in Ulster, where their ancestors had dwelt for over 3,000 years, and also for the general population in these 6 Counties.

1952 A further 400,000 Irish were to emigrate until 1962. - Co - operation was in the air again with the Foyle Fisheries in the north of Ireland also coming under the joint control of the Irish Republic, and the Official Unionist Stormont Government in the 6 Counties Artificially Partitioned from the 9 in the Ulster Province.

The Clann na Gael / the Organization in America, split totally with the Sean Russell anti - monument group.

In the Irish Republic, a portion of Loch Gara in Co. Sligo in the north - west of the Connacht Province was drained, and 308 crannogs were found in the lake.

1953 In the 6 Counties Artificially Partitioned from the 9 in the Ulster Province, still under the control of the British Government, Liam Kelly from the east of Co. Tyrone in Central Southern Ulster founded Saor Uladh / Free Ulster as a military organization for the re - unification of Ireland, and the the Fianna Uladh / Warriors of Ulster as a political organization. The IRA began raids on military arms depots in both England, and in these 6 Counties, in Ulster.

Eamonn de Valera approached Winston Churchill the British Prime Minister, man to man, to return Roger Casement's remains to Ireland, as this had been his wish during his dying days before being executed by the British Government, but Winston Churchill told him although he sympathised with him it couldn't be done, as it was against British Law.

1954 May: In the Irish Republic, Eamonn de Valera, called a General Election where his party the Fianna Fail, lost another 4 seats and the election also, and a second Fine Gael Coalition Government was in again, composed of the Fine Gael Party with 50 seats, the Labour Party with 19 seats, the Clan na Talmhan, the Clann na Poblachta and Independents. They were all elected for 3 years until 1957 under the leadership of John A. Costello, as Sean Mac Bride still would not accept Richard Mulcahy the leader of the Fine Gael Party as the Prime Minister, and Sean Mac Eoin became their Minister for Defence until 1957.

In the 6 Counties Artificially Partitioned from the 9 in the Ulster Province, still under the control of the British Government and the Ascendancy Stormont Official Unionist Government, the Flags & Emblems Act was introduced, which banned the Flag of Ireland, and the Stormont Government also made it an Act of Subversion to display the Irish Flag on St. Patrick's Day, and only the English Union Jack was allowed to be displayed. As the Unionist Ascendancy controlled nearly all the property in these 6 Counties, in Ulster, they also introduced a law where the owner of property there would be entitled to 1 vote for each 10 pound valuation thereof, giving them individually up to 6 votes each. They also made it law there that these votes could be transferred to any other Local Government area, which further suited their purposes of gerrymandering. If there were any mention of the unlawful treatment that was handed out to the Irish Nationalist majority in Co. Tyrone, Co. Fermanagh, Derry City in Co. Derry, or any other part of these 6 Counties, in Ulster, that they controlled in the British Parliament at Westminster it was ruled " Out of Order."

June 12th: In the 6 Counties Artificially Partitioned from the 9 in the Ulster Province, still under the control of the British Government, because of the blatant Ethnic and Sectarian oppression being constantly carried out on the Irish Catholics there without any recourse, the IRA became active again. On this day, they carried out their most successful raid, across the Artificial Border, on the Gough Barracks in Co. Armagh in the south - east of Ulster, which ensured further arms, recruits and money, while other raids were not so successful, with some of them being captured, but they gained a great deal of publicity from these activities for the cause of reunification of Ireland.
