                                                                                1541 AD - 1550 AD

1541 AD June 26th: Sir Anthony St. Ledger the appointed acting English Lord Lieutenant in Ireland for Henry V111 had him also declared the King of Ireland by the Anglo - Irish Parliament instead of the original position of Lordship granted to his predecessors previously by the Pope and he re - instigated the previous penalties under Poyning's Irish Penal Laws against the Irish population and the Anglo - Irish. He began a campaign to reconquer Ireland after he was able to also dupe the Anglo - Irish Parliament into accepting his claim to hand over Ireland to the English Crown. He had agreed to all their grievances, but had no intention of carrying them out, while behind the scene he carefully bribed those among the Lords who were committed "survivors" who are always willing to capitulate. and then dismissed the Anglo - Irish Parliament altogether for another 13 years.

In anticipation of his agenda coming to fruition, during the previous 20 years Henry V111 had abolished all the Irish land tenure and had also tried to do away with all traces of the Irish Brehon Law by putting in false claimants on to the Irish land who where then supported with English Militia. The Irish Chief of each Tuath / Family region was either to be expelled from their territory, or forced to yield their Irish land over to the English Crown although it was never in their power to do so under the Brehon Law.  If the Irish Sept who actually owned the land refused his illegal bargain, then English Militia were sent in to hang, burn and shoot the "Irish Rebels," while he also used exile as another way to bring about vacant waste land for further English takeover, and push the Irish Septs out of their territories ensuring all the profits from these ongoing takeovers finished up with him. He also gave the Harp of 105.Brian “Boru” the Heberian Dal gCais Ui Bloid U Turlough 170th High King of Ireland, to Mac William - Burke the Earl of Clan Ricarde together with The Book of Kells and had Clonfert monastery in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht burnt down and the 3,000 Franciscan monks who were resident there driven out. Quin Abbey in Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province was also suppressed, but the Franciscan monks were to continue to stay in the area for many Centuries to come with John Hogan to be the last one, who when he died was to be buried there in the 19th Century AD.

1542 AD Brian 3rd O Niall "The O Niall" was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain King of Tir nEogain / Tyrone in Central  Ulster and would be followed in this position by Felim O Niall.

The Heberian Dal gCais in Thomond / Northern Munster had held to their independence until Murrough O Brian, the son of Turlough O Brian had submitted to Henry V111 and abandoned his people to become a "survivor" when he became the English appointed Earl of Thomond. 300 pages from this period of Northern Munster history is to be found in O Donovans records of the "Annals of the 4 Masters." Parts of the Book of Munster are also to be found in the Book of Leinster, the Book of Ballymote and the Book of Lecan Bereans, from the "Southern" Gaelic Milesians to 105.Brian “Boru’s” time with details of the disputes between the Heberian Eoghanachts and the Heberian Dal gCais Septs.

All of the lands of the Irish Catholic Institutions together with their monasteries and friaries were Confiscated and given to English conformist nobles, including the Ballintober Abbey in Co. Mayo in the mid - west of the Connacht Province, which was also originally suppressed by Henry VIII, but the priests there were still able to somehow continue on to say their Catholic Mass there for Centuries ahead. - St. Patrick's Church in Dublin, which had been taken over previously under the edicts of Henry VIII and turned into a Church of England / Ireland was now made into a Deanery. - Richard Burke / de Burgo the Red Earl of Ulster was given the Clare Galway Franciscan Friary in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht after it was also Confiscated and Suppressed and this is were he was to be personally interred while the Cong Abbey in Co. Mayo was also Confiscated and suppressed and the Abbot there was also forced to lead all of his monks out of there.

July 1st: Murrough O Brian became the 1st English appointed Earl of Thomond and the 1st English appointed Baron of Inchiquin while his nephew, Donough O Brian became the 1st English appointed Baron of Ibricken, and Sheeda / Sioda  Mac Namara the Heberian Dal gCais Ui Caisin Lord Marshall was created an English Knight and the territory, which in reality belonged to all of the Dalcassian people there was then granted to him personally as an individual with an English title. Despite all of the previous continuing English oppression, both ethnic and religious in Ireland from 1204 AD until this date, 57 Heberian Dal gCais Kings of Thomond / Northern Munster had been crowned on the mound at Magh Adhair near Clooney - Quin in Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province.

Conn “Bacach” O Niall "The O Niall" from the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain Sept also accepted the re - grant of his own Septs' Irish lands and the title of the 1st English appointed Earl of Tyrone, which upset many of the O Nialls and a struggle began over who would be his successor, which included his younger legitimate son, Shane O Niall the Proud who was totally Irish in his outlook. Conn “Bacach” O Niall was a son of Conn “Mor” O Niall, and his brother was Art O Niall who was to be the father of Turlough “Luineach” O Niall who later also was to become "The O Niall" with the assistance of the English, and he would die in 1595 AD. Conn “BacachO Niall was also to be the father of Ferdoragh O Niall who was to die in 1558 AD, who was an older half - brother to Shane O Niall, and whose mother was the smith’s wife, and he in turn would be the father of Brian O Niall who would be executed in 1562 AD and Hugh "Dubh" / Black Hugh O Niall  who would later on become the 1st English appointed Earl of Dungannon, and the 2nd English appointed Earl of Tyrone and "The O Niall" in his own right. He in turn was to be the father of a daughter, Rois from his first wife, and also of Hugh O Niall who was to die in 1609 AD who was a son of Siobhan O Donnell who was to be his second wife, and also of Henry O Niall who was also her son who was to die in 1611 AD. Shane O Niall the Proud was to become the father also of a Henry O Niall who was to die in 1622 AD, and from Catherine Mac Lean he was to also produce Hugh “Gavelach” O Niall who would die in 1590 AD and Art O Niall who would die in 1592 AD.

Maccon Mac Namara, the son of Cuvea Mac Namara, and grandson of Donough Mac Namara, and great - grandson of Rory Mac Namara the son of Maccon "Cean More" Mac Namara was slain this year by his kinsman Maccon Mac Namara, the son of Rory Mac Namara, the son of Maccon Mac Namara the son of Rory Mac Namara the son of Maccon "Cean More" Mac Namara.

1543 AD Castle Gregory was built and named after Gregory Hoar / Hoare / Hore who was a subordinate of the Anglo - Irish  Fitz Geralds of Desmond near Loch Gill  (The Lake of Brightness) in Co. Kerry in the south - west of the Munster Province.

1546 AD Thomas Butler became the English appointed 10th Earl of Ormonde and the 3rd English Earl of Ossory until 1614 AD. who was the son of James the previous 9th English Earl of Ormonde.

Grace O Malley / Grainne Nic Maille the future Pirate Queen who was only 15 year old from the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ui Maille Sept married Donnell O Flaherty "The O Flaherty" who also operated as a pirate and was the 1st Chieftain of the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Seola O Flaherties of Bally na Hinch. He was eventually killed in battle leaving her a young widow who was to have her stronghold on Clare Island in Co. Mayo in the mid - west of the Connacht Province. Later on she would marry Sir Richard Bourke / de Burgho as her second husband and produce Lord Mayo who she would hand over to Elizabeth 1st the Welsh Norman Queen of England to be reared for an English purpose as "He had Saxon - Blood."

The Celts had originally divided Ireland into 5 Provinces, that had later been reduced to the 4, Connacht Province, Leinster Province, (which was united with the Midland / Mide / Meath Province under 80.Conn of the Hundred Battles,) Munster Province and Ulster Province and which were to later be divided into 33 Counties by the English, which then also included a division of Co. Tipperary into 2 until it was rejoined making the total of 32 Counties all of which still exist today

St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster had been Confiscated to be taken over by the Church of England under the direction of Henry VIII, and already by now, due to the lack of patronage, it was falling into decay.

Sir Anthony St. Ledger the English appointed Lord Justice in Ireland for Henry V111 burnt the Country as far as Cruachan in the Connacht Province.

1547 AD Henry VIII, died, after fully exploiting the Catholic Church Institutions and lands for all they were worth in his own personal financial interests and his 10 year old son Edward VI became the new Welsh Norman King of England under the greedy guidance of his mother's brother, Thomas Seymour, who also held vast  tracts of Confiscated Catholic lands there personally, and who would soon also lose his own head.  40 of the 60 Irish Chiefs who had by now previously submitted to Henry V111 were granted English titles under English Law and the lands of their Tuaths / Family regions. Without any recourse under English Law the Catholic Irish who now did not legally exist under English Law also had no rights under English Common Law to lay claim for the return of any of their stolen property, therefore those in power with Confiscated Catholic property now had a good reason to further promote anti - Catholic sentiment. Thomas Seymour the Regent for the young Edward V1 was to be a good example of this.

James Butler the  English appointed 9th Earl of Ormonde and 2nd English Earl of Ossory in Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster was assassinated with 17 of his followers at Ely House near Holborn, out of the 35 people who were poisoned there, and no inquiry was held and his young son was then taken to England to be reared as an Episcopalian for an English purpose in Ireland.

1548 AD Shane O Niall the Proud from the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain Sept, the young legitimate son of Conn "Bacach" O Niall became "The O Niall" and had his castle 3 mile from Antrim on Loch Neagh in Co. Antrim in the north - east of the Ulster Province where the ruins are still there to be seen.

The Dungory Castle was built by the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Southern" Ui Fiachrach O Heynes on an islet at the head of Kinvarra Bay in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht. - A Franciscan Friary was founded by the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill O Donnells at Killydonnell  / Cill O d / Ui Tomhrair in Co. Donegal in the west of the Ulster Province were its bell was eventually end up in Loch Swilly.

The Mansion built on the site of John's Castle at Lismore in Co. Waterford in the south - east of the Munster Province also came under the control of the notorious Myler Magrath who had previously been a Franciscan monk who had sold out for the trappings of office and vast monetary success, obtaining many combined Episcopalian Bishoprics and numerous livings in Ireland, along with their enforced Tithes to the Church of England / Ireland, which made him a very wealthy man. (When he died he was interred in St. Carthaig's Cathedral in Lismore in Co. Cork.He was to rent the Mansion to Sir Walter Raleigh, in perpetuity, who would later on sell it on to Richard Boyle who had arrived 14 years earlier into Ireland from England with only 28 pounds to his name and who too was to become one of the richest Landlords in Ireland during his lifetime, and also the 1st English appointed Earl of Cork who was anti - Catholic.

The English Pale in Ireland, which was under the control of the English Dublin Castle Government (The Devil's 1/2 acre) authority was by now reduced to only 45 miles along the eastern coastline in the Leinster Province centred on Dublin and only reached 20 miles inland, which included parts of Co. Dublin, Co. Kildare, Co. Meath and Co. Louth, whereas previously it had taken in the Provinces of both Leinster and Munster.

1549 AD Dermott O Sullivan, was to die this year, who was the father of another Dermott O Sullivan whose mother was Sheela Fitz Gerald. He would be the father of Philip O Sullivan in 1590 AD, a historian, who was to be the youngest of 17 children. Donnell "Cam" O Sullivan (1561 - 1618 AD) was to become the Lord of Beare from 1592 - 1603 AD and the Count of Beare Haven, who was to produce Donnell O Sullivan (1590 - 1619 AD )and Dermott O Sullivan (1601 - 1659 AD) who would be the Count of Beare Haven from 1618 - 1659 AD who then only produced a daughter who left no issue.
