                                                                                   1311 AD - 1316 AD

1311 AD Brian was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn 3 Colla King of Orghialla / Airghialla - Oriel in Co. Monaghan & Co. Armagh in Southern Ulster. Donnell / Domhnall was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin King of Breifne who had his territory in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht.

Donough O Brian the Heberian Dal gCais Ui mBriain King of Thomond / Northern Munster was killed by one of his own kinsmen in another struggle between the Dalcassian Septs to regain overall authority there stirred on once again by Thomas de Clare the Anglo Norman Baron who was set up in Co. Clare in Bunratty Castle, who this time gave his personal "switching" support to Dermot "Clerech" O Brian. He was another grandson of Brian "Roe" O Brian who he had previously tortured and murdered by ripping him apart with horses. Dermot "Clerech" O Brian became the new King of Thomond / Northern Munster on the mound at Magh Adhair - in opposition to the true heir apparent, Murtough O Brian who was his cousin also, and who was also a brother to the previously deceased Donough O Brian.

1312 AD Walls were built by the Anglo - Norman Barons around Athenry in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht to keep out the Irish Septs.

The Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain Sept discovered a phallic ritual from 100 B.C, which became known as the Tural / Tullahogue Stone / Crowning Stone at Bollan near Athenry at the Rath of Feerwore near Loch Rea in Co. Galway in Southern Connacht, which they would use in the future Inauguration of their Kings.

1313 AD Murtough O Brian now became the Heberian Dal gCais Ui mBriain King of Thomond / Northern Munster until 1343 AD.

Thomas de Clare the Anglo Norman Baron in Co. Clare was always trying to gain more territory there while continuing to stir up trouble, always "switching," putting the Irish Dal gCais Septs against each other to reduce their numbers, while he lead his own large English force against them all throughout Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province.

1314 AD The Butlers, the Anglo - Norman Barons descended from King John's companion le Buitleir, this year were on the ascendant and took over the Manor and the Cantred of Knocktopher in Co. Kilkenny / Ossory in the south - west of Southern Leinster from Nigel Le Brun another Anglo - Norman Baron. A Carmelite Friary was also built this year at Kinsale in Co. Cork in Southern Munster and the ruins are still there to be seen.

June 24th: Robert 1st / "The Bruce" the Norman - Gaelic King of Scotland defeated Edward 11 the Norman English King of England at Bannockburn with his army, which was a third of the size of the English army, and he decided then to invade Ireland to cut off the English supplies and drive them out of Ireland altogether. His family still had connections in Co. Derry in the north - east of the Ulster Province and Walter de Burgo the Anglo - Norman English appointed Earl of Ulster was his son - in  - law, and also at this time the Scottii from the Western Isles were settling into Ulster. He convinced the Irish Chiefs that now would be the time to defeat the Anglo - Norman Barons, who were controlling Ireland in the interests of England. Owing to the Gaelic Heremonian kinship the offer of the Kingship of Ireland was now made by a desperate Donnell O Niall the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain King of Tir Eogain / Tyrone / The Land of 87. Eogain in Ulster to bring this about.

1315 AD - 1317 AD Famines were to be at their worst during this period followed by Plagues at the same time as the Bruce brothers were to carry out their campaign in Ireland to remove the English control also over Ireland. A Norman English Parliament was called again in Kilkenny in Co. Kilkenny / Ossory in the south - west of Southern Leinster to deal with the threat of a Bruce intervention in Ireland and Edward 11 the Norman English King tried to bring in strict English Law in Ireland. Richard de Burgo / Burke was to extend his English Earlship in the Ulster Province to take in Inishowen in Co. Donegal and the eastern region of Loch Swilly. From the time of Donnell O Niall down 11 of the Ulster Chiefs were to hold their territory by a commitment of military service known as Bonnacht and due to this commitment 355 fighting men were to be claimed later on by the English in the middle of the 15th Century AD. A number of these committed troops that had been initially raised there by the Earl of Ulster had taken part in Edward 1st's previous Scottish campaign.

Robert the Bruce of Scotland was to send over his brother, Edward Bruce, to Ireland to drive out the English Normans and he was to land at Larne with 6000 men and the Irish Chiefs in the north were to join in with him and they took Dundalk in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster and burnt the Anglo - Norman Castle at Newry in Co. Down in the south - east of the Ulster Province. They captured Greencastle also there, which had been the ancient capital of the Irish kingdom of Mourne and defeated the English Lord Justice's forces at Ardscull in Co. Kildare in Central Southern Leinster. On arrival into Ireland he had also been joined by Robert Byset the Norman Lord of the Glens of Antrim who was of Scottish descent and Donnell O Niall, the son of Brian O Niall. They went into Gowan Callan, and defeated the English forces at Connor, and burnt the town of Ceanannus Mor / Kells in Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster, which the English were using as a garrison to attack the surrounding Irish Septs from out of "The English Pale." They also ransacked Saul Abbey there and burnt the town of Granard in Co. Longford in the north - west of Northern Leinster and Edward Bruce was able to arrive successfully at Castlerock in Dublin with 20,000 men under him but found it surrounded by high walls and he left for Co. Limerick in the mid - north - west of the Munster Province. Despite this initial setback he had been able to gain control of the north of Ireland, except for Carrickfergus in Co. Down in north - east of Ulster. At the request of the Norman English in England Pope John XX11 excommunicated Edward Bruce and his Irish allies, which included the Franciscans who also supported them in their efforts to try and rid Ireland of the ongoing English terror.

At this period in time, Aed O Donnell was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill King of Tir Conaill / The Land of 87.Conall in Co. Donegal in the north - west of the Ulster Province and Gillibert was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Maine King who had his territory in the east of Co. Galway and near Athlone in Co. Roscommon in the east of the Connacht Province.

The English Crown's only real hold now in Ireland was in the perimeters of "The English Pale" surrounding Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster, and to continue to retain their grip in the Leinster Province the Butlers / Le Buitleir - the English Norman Earls of Ormonde / Co. Kilkenny / Ossory for the next 200 years would be reared as minors still under English supervision in England for an English purpose in Ireland. The Catholic Archbishops / supervisors also had been set up by those in authority in England to use their control over the Irish Catholic Church to reduce any Irishness and any attempt to once again set up Universities at Drogheda and Dublin in the Leinster Province were always dismissed due to the ongoing English policy, even though higher education was required also by the "Anglo - Irish / Old English." Despite these difficulties the Irish Chiefs would not allow their own Irish schools to close and the Irish language was still the language of the people together with Latin for those who were to be better educated and also for commercial purposes. To the Irish the English language was that of the "traitors and foreigners" and an Irish revival also began in Europe with Astronomy, while Assemblies / Oenachs of all the learned men in Ireland were still held and the art of medicine was well known in Ireland.
