                                                                                1301 AD - 1310 AD 

1301 AD With the Irish Brehon Law and the Irish Septs now under determined pressure from the English it was survival of the fittest again. as there was by now no clear overall authority among the Irish Septs and Aed O Connor, the son of Cathal O Connor, along with the Clann Murtough carried out a a raid on Teague / Tadhg O Connor in Mag Aidne to see who had the real authority in the Connacht Province. The Clann Murtough also killed Murtough Mac Conshnamha / Forde / Ford / Mac Kinnawe, the heir apparent of Muinter Kenny who had their territory in a part of Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht .

     O Muldoon / Ua Maol "Duin" was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Fiachrach Muaidh King of Tir Fiachrach (The Land of 87.Fiachra) in Northern Connacht who was descended from 87.Fiachra the King of Connacht one of the sons of *86.Eochy / Echu "Mugmedon" the 124th King of Tara / Ireland.     

      Edward 1st the Anglo - Norman King of England, along with the Anglo - Norman Baron, Fitz Gerald now Gaelicized as Mac Gerailt, de Bermingham now Gaelicized as Mac Feorais, and the Galls / foreigners raided Scotland again, except for de Burgho / Burke the English Earl of Ulster but they did not succeed in conquering it fully.

1302 AD William Fitz John an Anglo - Norman became the Bishop of Ossory / Co. Kilkenny in the south - west of Southern Leinster.

       Rory / Ruaidre was the Heberian Cianacht Luigni King, this year, who had their territory at Leyney in Co.  Sligo in the north - west of the Connacht Province.

       The Mac Donalds - now Gaelicized as Mac Donnell of Co. Antrim in the north - east of the Ulster Province and the Mac Sweeneys / Mheic Suibhne of Co. Donegal in the west of Ulster were galloglasses / mercenaries of Irish - Scottish - Viking blood who were both of Heremonian descent who came over from the Scottish Highlands to assist the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Septs against the English expansion in Ulster. Due to the inability of the English to penetrate further into Ulster at this time the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Colla da Crioch Maguires / Mac Guires were to continue to hold their own in Co. Fermanagh, the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Colla da Crioch Mac Mahons in Co. Monaghan, the Ciassarts with the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain O Kanes / O Cahans in Co. Derry and the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill O Dohertys in Inishowen in Co Donegal. The original Anglo - Norman followers who were previously under John de Courcy had survived along the coast of Ulster, where the Bysets were the Lords of the Glens, the Savages where the Lords of the Ards, and the Mandevilles now Gaelicized as the Mac Quillans of Route in the north of Co. Antrim adopted Gaelic names and the Irish Brehon Law.       

      Donnell / Domhnall "Ruadh" / of Red Complexion Mac Carthy the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil King of Desmond / Des Mhumhain / Southern Munster, died this year, and Donnell / Domhnall "Og - Oc" / The Younger Mac Carthy  became the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil King of Desmond / Southern Munster,

       Aed O Connor once again besieged Teague / Tadhg O Connor and Sitric Mac Flanahy / Flannchaidh at Mag Cetne in the Connacht Province in their ongoing dispute over who had the real authority there in Connacht.

       108.Donn Maguire / Mac Guire / Mag Uidhir the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Colla da Crioch King of Fermanagh in the south - west of the Ulster Province, died this year.

1303 AD - 1373 AD The Order of Nuns known as the Brigitines were founded by St. Bridget of Sweden.

1303 AD Turlough O Donnell was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel Conaill King of Tir Conaill (The Land of 87.Conall) in Co. Donegal in the west of the Ulster Province was killed this year by his brother, Aed O Donnell. along with many others, over who had the real authority also there in Tyrconnell. Diarmait O Flannacain the King of Toorah and his two sons, were slain while Donnell / Domhnall O Connor  while besieging Carbury.

      Edward 1st the Anglo - Norman King of England raided Scotland again, and the Anglo - Norman English Earl in Ireland and many of the Galls / foreigners and previously committed  Gaels went in a fleet to join him and they were to conquer Scotland this time around.

      Donnell / Domhnall "Og - Oc" / The Younger Mac Carthy the Heberian Eoghanacht Chaisil King of Desmond / Des Mhumhain / Southern Munster, died this year. Magnus Magowran / Magauran / Mac Govern / Mac Goveran / Mag Shamhrain the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin King of Tully in the kingdom of East Breifne at Ballymagauran in Co. Cavan in Southern Ulster, was also killed  this year.

      The Knights of St. John built their house at Ballymote in Co. Sligo in the north - west of the Connacht Province.  

1304 AD Matha was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin King of Breifne in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht.

1305 AD The de Berminghams the Norman English Barons had built 4 Castles in Co. Kildare / Ossory in Central Southern Leinster all within the sight of each other at Carbery, Mylerstown, Kinnaford, and Carrick where Pierce / Piers de Bermingham was to later treacherously kill O Connor the Prince of Offaly and 30 of his kinsmen. The de Berminghams were to Gallicize their surname to Mac Feorais / Son of Piers, which was later on also anglicized to Corish.  

      The Carlingford Priory was founded by Ricarde de Burgo / Burke the Norman English Earl of Ulster in Co. Louth in the north - east of Northern Leinster. 

1306 AD Donough / Donnchad was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin King of Mag Luirc who had his territory at Moylurg in Co. Roscommon in the east of the Connacht Province. - The Austin Friary was built in Adare in Co. Limerick this year in the mid - north - west of the Munster Province were there are 2 ancient churches are still there in existence. - This year, Robert the Bruce, the future King of Scotland,

 on the run was now on Rathlin Island 4 miles across the channel from Co. Antrim in the north - east of the Ulster Province where he watched a patient spider take his time to succeed in spinning his web and gained foresight from it.

On April 10th: Turlough O Brian the Heberian Dalcassian Ui Bloid Ui Turlough Ui mBriain King of Thomond / Tuaisceart Mhumhain / Northern Munster, died, and was buried in the Ennis Abbey and his son Donough O Brian became the new King of Thomond and together with his kinsman, Donnell / Domhnall "Bawn" O Brian he was to attack Thomas de Clare the Norman English Baron and his Irish allies on many occasions over the following years. Thomas de Clare was to make great use of his persuasive "switching" power of taking the opportunity of putting the individual Irish Dal gCais Septs against one another in their struggle to gain overall authority in Thomond centred on their stronghold in Co. Clare in the north - west of the Munster Province and on one occasion Donough and Donnell O Brian were to be defeated at Dysert O Dea in Co. Clare by their own kinsman, Murtough O Brian. 

      

1307 AD Offerlane in the north of the Cantred of Aghaboe, which was by now an Anglo - Norman settlement, came under siege from the Heremonian Ui Laoghaire Ui Connla Mac Gilla Patricks / Fitz Patricks as the whole northern region of Co. Kilkenny / Ossory in the south - west of Southern Leinster was now under English military control, including the territory of the O Brennans / Ui Braonain.  

      Awley / Amhlaibh, the son of Art, was now the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin King of Breifne in Co. Leitrim in Northern Connacht. - Donough 1st / Donnchad was the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Maine King who had his territory in the east of Co. Galway and near Athlone in Co. Roscommon in the east of the Connacht Province. - A Franciscan Friary was founded this year at Castle Lyons on the River Bride east of Rath Cormack in Co. Cork in Southern Munster.

July: Edward 11 became the Norman English King of England, who was a son of Edward 1st.

1308  AD John le Decer who was the Norman English Mayor of Dublin / Atha Cliath at this time built the bridge over the River Liffey at Leixlip in Co. Kildare in Central Southern Leinster and another new bridge was also built there across the River Liffey at Celbridge.

        William de Burgh / Burke was the English appointed Deputy Justiciar in Ireland and it was he who became the direct ancestor of the Burkes and the Mac Williams both the Upper and the Lower branches. Richard de Burgh the appointed English Earl of Ulster created Walter and Hugh de Lacy Knights this year.

        Pierce de Bermingham feloniously murdered the O Connors of Offaly at his castle at Carbury in Co. Kildare in Central Southern Leinster killing 30 of them all up in a treacherous act of betrayal after inviting them there to dine with him.

1308 AD - 1314 AD The Knight Templars who were a Catholic Christian sect were suppressed during this period under Edward 11 the new Norman English King of England.

1309 AD A Norman English Parliament was held at Kilkenny again in Co. Kilkenny / Ossory in the south - west of Southern Leinster enacting Irish Penal Laws especially against any of the English who took up any Gaelic Irish customs.

    Donough, a son of Cuvea Mac Namara "Mor" the Ui Caisin King was treacherously killed by his own people and by Donnell O Grady the Cenel Donnghaile Chief. His brother, Loghlen "Laidir" Mac Namara became their new Chief.

1310 AD A Norman English Parliament was held again in Co. Kilkenny / Ossory with English Law well established in "The English Pale" area surrounding Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster under their control and an Act was passed that, "No more Irish shall be received into a Religious Order among the English in the "Land of Peace (The English Pale) to which Walter Jorz / Joyce the Bishop of Armagh successfully appealed to Edward 11 the Norman English King of England to repeal.

1310 AD - 1324 AD The Norman English Parliament now made any of the Anglo - Irish / Old English responsible for any of their family kin who broke their law, such as would be the case under the Irish Brehon Law just as they had instigated in 1278 AD to the Irish Chiefs and Kings.   

       Felim / Fedlimidh O Connor, the son of Aed O Connor, the son of Eogan O Connor, was inaugurated as the the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn Ui Briuin Ai King of Connacht by his foster father Mac Dermot / Mheic Diamada who was a Ui Briuin Ui Conchobair King at Carn Froich, which was their Inauguration Mound situated three miles from Cruachu / Cruachan the original ancient capital of the Connacht Province.

     William de Burgh / Burke the Norman English Baron, who was a first cousin of the important English Earl Richard de Grey, was married to Finola O Brian at this time connecting him by marriage to the Heberian Dal gCais Ui Bloid Ui Turlough Ui mBriain Sept in Thomond / Northern Munster. The Anglo - Norman English at this time where still known to the Irish as the Galls / foreigners.

       The de Berminghams who were in the Connacht Province had their Estates there centred on Athenry with  their main branch at Tethmoy on the border of Co. Meath in the south - east of Northern Leinster and Co. Kildare in Central Southern Leinster where they were associated with John Fitz Thomas Fitz Gerald who later on in 1316 AD would become the 1st English Earl of Kildare.

1311 AD Sheeda Mac Namara, died this year.

1312 AD The O Collin / Ui Coilean Sept besieged the O Flynn / Ui Floinn Sept and one of them was killed.

     John Fitz Thomas Fitz Gerald created Nicholas Fitz Maurice an English Knight at Adayr.

1313 AD John Fitz Thomas Fitz Gerald created Robert de Clahull an English Knight at Adayr while Edmund Butler the English Lord Justice created 30 English Knights in "The English Pale" in Dublin in Co. Dublin in the north - east of Southern Leinster. Richard de Burgho at the marriage of his daughter, Katherine to Maurice Fitz Gerald created a further 2 English Knights also.

1314 AD On June 24th: Robert 1st  "The Bruce" the Norman - Gaelic King of Scotland defeated Edward 11 the Norman English King of England at Bannockburn with an army a third of the size of the English army and he decided then to send some of his followers into Ireland to cut off the English supplies and drive them out of Ireland altogether. His family still had connections in Co. Derry in the north - east of the Ulster Province and Walter de Burgo / Burke the Norman English appointed Earl of Ulster had marred his daughter and was therefore also his son - in - law and at this time the Scottii / Irishmen from the Western Isles were re - settling into the Ulster Province. He convinced the Irish Chiefs that it would now be in their interests also to defeat the Anglo - Norman Barons once and for all who were now controlling Ireland for the Norman English interest, and an offer of the Kingship of Ireland was made to him by Donnell O Niall in desperation, who was now the Heremonian Ui Cobhthaigh Dal Cuinn "Northern" Ui Niaill Cenel nEogain King of Tir Eogain (The Land of 87.Eogan) in Northern Ulster, to bring this all about.
